There are too many rogue gallery villains, repeating villains is dumb.

I don't want to see the Lizard again. They had the chance to make him awesome and they failed. All he would do is run around trying to make more Lizard people because that is his MO. If he was a ravishing beast mode giant Lizard running around just trying to hurt people then it would make sense.

Filming starts monday, no casting news for JJJ,Norman, Kingpin. I'm getting nervous.

They are cutting it too close. If they are following the Ultimate books you can not have Electro without Kingpin.

Hopefully they are surprising us.No casting for Daily Bugle, Robboe Robertson?

I don't know guys.
Kingpin is owned by Marvel now as the Daredevil rights reverted back. Kingpin will never be in a Spider-Man movie unless Marvel and Sony make a deal.

Agree. If Lizard was remotely interesting the first time then I would have definitely wanted to see the villain again.

According to Arad, he was on a loan for the Daredevil movie and belongs to Sony.

I personally liked the Lizard and thought he was cool (though I do agree he could've been done a bit better and could've been done more tragic as well) but even I wouldn't want to see him again. Nothing against the Lizard but from the way they set up their entire Spider-Man universe, characters like Green Goblin, Venom, Kraven, Doc Ock, and Electro have far more story potential.

How come Greg Weisman couldn't use him when he did TSSM if that's the case? Greg said he couldn't use him because the rights belonged to Fox.

Basically he said, any character introduced in the Spider-man comics belongs to Sony

Yes, thank you. I think I've repeated this 1000000 times on here, but nobody seems to get that.

it's just webb having some fun on account of the blackout at the superbowl

All the Bane tweets when that happened were pretty funny.

I thought that too but, apparently, what he said is that "I'd be very excited at the prospect of adding Kingpin to our cast. And as I've mentioned before, I'd love to do the occasional crossover, starting with the Human Torch. But the bigger concern is whether or not we get new episodes, not who guest stars in them."

According to some sites, Tombstone was chosen over the Kingpin for this role in the Spectacular Spider-Man since despite having originated as a Spider-Man character and that the show's producer Greg Weisman wished to use him, Marvel, at the time, considered the Kingpin as a Daredevil villain which is why the Kingpin was never used for the show since only Spider-Man characters were allowed to be used.
Maybe that was determined by Marvel and wasn't really an issue with rights.

I think this is all a whole mess.

Oh well then maybe???
Maybe yeah. I don't really care for Kingpin, though.

Well since Marvel themselves are not using Kingpin ATM,I doubt they will kick up a fuss if Sony decides to use him (If Marvel has the rights and not Sony)

it doesn't really work that way... even if the other studios aren't using him ATM, they'd still have to buy or pay/barter for the rights to use him

I don't like Football... so yeah, I don't watch it.

There are people that don't like football but still watch the SB though. My question had nothing to do with liking football as there is quite a percentage that watches it just for the spectacle and commercials.

Anno, sometimes when I read your posts I get the idea that you're actively trying to write nonsense.
