If Gwen does actually go to London, it would probably not happen until the end of TASM2. Then maybe she returns in the beginning of TASM3. Otherwise, I just don't see it happening at all.

I don't think so.

It just depends on whether or not she stays there for majority of the film which depends on WHEN in the film she goes there.

But of course, this all depends on whether or not the rumor is true.

And even if it is, I highly doubt its so that MJ can have more screentime. I'm sure she'll be a voice of reason when/if Gwen is away, but I doubt she'll be taking her place so to speak.

MJ is said to have a small role regardless. I give her 3 to 5 scenes max.

I almost completely doubt the "filming in London" thing now. To my knowledge (casting calls), they're filming solely in New York and LA.

They announced on SHH! that they are filming entirely in New York (outside of LA).

Nicked it off wikipedia as I'm lazy tonight. Don't judge! Obviously the whole Stacy storyline was different and you could do it differently quite easily. But there's an option to go a similar route.

Gwen blames Spider-Man for his death, which sets their relationship back for a while. Gwen leaves for Europe to cope with her loss. She wants Peter to ask her to marry him and convince her to stay, but his guilt stops him from proposing.[volume & issue needed]
Peter goes to London to see Gwen, but is forced into action as Spider-Man and leaves without seeing Gwen. Gwen eventually realizes her error in trying to pressure Peter into marriage. She returns to New York and they get back together

But with regards to London, isn't it just the working title? London Calling? I'm not sure if there was ever anything concrete about London filming... Yet.

I've been thinking about how they're going to introduce MJ into the movie. Given that Shailene apparently has enough time to shoot another movie while production on TASM2 is going on and she doesn't even know too much about the movie yet while Garfield, DeHaan, and Emma have all read the script, she won't be in the movie that much...or in other words her role may be even smaller than we think. I'm guessing that MJ and her family end up moving next door to Peter near the beginning of the film and Aunt May tries to introduce Peter to her through the course of the movie but he keeps putting it off. Half way through or so he'll be introduced to her and she'll start going to Midtown High and meet Gwen etc. Basically I think she'll just be a character who pops up in 3-4 scenes. More or less an easter egg really.

Huh?? You make it sound like that wouldn't happen in my theory. The way I set it up is exactly what happens in the comics. That said I don't think we'll get that exact line because it sounds cheesy as hell in these times and I can't see Shailene seriously pulling that off.

Honestly though, I don't see them having her movie next door to him.

They could establish that, like TAS, her Aunt Anna Watson lived next to the Parkers and is good friends with May. And after whatever relationship troubles Peter and Gwen may have, they get set up on a blind date.
