I did another manip now that I had more than 5 minutes on my hands. This is pretty much exactly what I think we will be seeing in the finished film.

Kraven sneak attacked Spidey at least twice in that vid.
Ah yes, the ol' "I can't accept that someone has a different opinion so I'll question their motives" ploy.![]()
Those opinions always have some deep rooted reasoning behind it, not to play therapist.
Dude... what exactly is "normal" when it comes to Electro?
Come on, how is a regular Jamie Foxx in a black suit any less "generic" than the Electro we have now?
I guranatee there would have been even more of an outrage if he was just normal looking "Webb and Co. can't even come up with cool prosethics for their villians! This movie is gonna suck!"
Nothing that they could have done would have been "original"enough, because even if he was yellow, some people would go out of their way to search for the most obscure pics of characters who are yellow just to complain and say how "unoriginal" the look is.
It just comes down to the fact that some are bugged by Foxx in the role period and are just looking for whatever.
I see a lot of people focusing on the design, but not the actual character himself. He'll obviously need a lot more depth than he has in the comics to carry the films. I think they're setting him up to be a parallel of Peter. He's this random guy who was ignored his whole life despite his brilliance and by happenstance comes across these amazing powers. Unlike Peter though, he doesn't learnt the lesson of responsibility and didn't have a father figure like Uncle Ben, so when he gains the powers he goes down a path of depravity. The fact that Spider-Man is his idol is also an interesting twist to this.
I'm pretty sure he will have the option to switch back to normal, ala Sandman, once he can fully control his power.Electro is blue? This look reminds me of Scrier:
I'd rather Electro look like a normal person and not be a blue mutant. Now he can't blend in with regular people or have any kind of normal interaction. Rather than Electro be some deformed monster, I think he'd be more interesting as just another costumed super human who -in opposition to Spider-man- uses his powers selfishly.
I'm pretty sure he will have the option to switch back to normal, ala Sandman, once he can fully control his power.
Who would have thought that? Anyone looking for Amy reason at all to either further berate the movie or to sike themselves out from seeing it.
And you'd be surprise the lengths people will go to talk bad about TASM, they can get pretty low at times lol TASM has got to benthe first movie I've ever heard of that had people saying it sucked, or was going to suck, because of the lead actor's
hairstyle.
Believe me, having it just be Jamie Foxx in a black suit with a few bolts of electricity sparking around his body would be a WHOLE lot more polarizing than this look, no matter if the lightning was yellow or blue.
You may not like the design, but they're obviously going to go with the design that is less likely to p*ss people off
At least Electro is eye catching and the crew is using practical effects and prosthetics.
Simply being blue doesn't make it resemble Electro.
As an added leg up, Jamie Foxx has a much more recongizible face than the actor who played Dr. Manhattan.
Even when he's not blue, the dude looks like this...And even like this...
You'll have to excuse my skepticism.
Don't get me wrong; I'm not saying that fans aren't notorious for complaining about the most inconsequential things imaginable. However, I don't Electro looking like a normal person would've been one of those things. In fact, I would argue that it was what a lot of us were expecting.
Where the heck are you getting your information from? It sounds like you're just making it up.
How is that design less likely to piss people off?
I never said he wasn't.
You said it, not me.
And that's relevant because...?
In the first design, he looks like a normal guy in a crazy suit. In the second, he has a face that wouldn't translate well to live action at all (although I love the containment suit).
I wasn't talking about just because Electro is blue doesn't mean it's Electro.
And yes people would complain if it was just Jamie Foxx in a suit.
If people are going to complain so much about The Lizard not having a snout...
how much do you think people would complain if Jamie Foxx looked like and X-Men from the original trilogy?
I thought you just said that's not the same thing... -__-That's not the same thing. The Lizard is usually portrayed with a snout. Likewise, Electro is usually portrayed as a normal-looking man in a suit.
It's not really a matter of getting information, it's pretty common to see complaints like this.Again: where are you getting your information from?
