Come on, how is a regular Jamie Foxx in a black suit any less "generic" than the Electro we have now?
I guranatee there would have been even more of an outrage if he was just normal looking "Webb and Co. can't even come up with cool prosethics for their villians! This movie is gonna suck!"
Nothing that they could have done would have been "original"enough, because even if he was yellow, some people would go out of their way to search for the most obscure pics of characters who are yellow just to complain and say how "unoriginal" the look is.

Regardless whether there's a million other blue characters out there, Jamie Foxx/Electro looks freakin great. And those were just set photos.... that's pretty damn impressive

And this is coming from someone who didn't even want a blue Electro to begin with. But I'm pretty blown away

Agreed. I just wanted him to have scars similar to that of his most recent 616 interpretation and his original USM version.

However, the look they've gone with is better than anything I could'= have imagined.

maybe people are just judging without seeing the final product, Sony actually was intelligent to release an official photo of the suit before filming it so people doesn´t start saying it was the EXACT same as Raimi´s , we don´t know how Electro will look like in the final product. and yeah the people tent to be really negative to change or not to change? , you know what i mean like people would´ve complained about the suit if it was the 616 universe or if it was just Jamie Foxx in the black costume

I fully support him in the role, since he is a great actor.

But, after we had a monstrous villain in the first, I was hoping that Electro would look just like an average human, without a mutated skin or those veins in his face. And I don't think Rhino will do that for me either.

Yeah, the only film characters that I can think of that were blue skinned humans are Dr Manhattan and Arnold's Mr Freeze. I do t count Avatar as they were aliens, not people.

Having Electro being a human glowing blue from the electricity in him is hardly generic, IMO.

This universe seems mostly based on the Ultimate series, so far. Although I guess the Lizard was based on very early Amazing Spider-Man.

it's like everytime we complain about a villain, they take a hint and use that with the next villain whether it's appropriate or not

"Venom is too small" => "ok, how about we make Lizard huge?"
"The Lizard is too computer generated!" => "We hear ya, we'll go balls out with prosthetics!"

Why is the prosthetics in this case anything bad???

And the thing about all these characters, while they are blue, they look nothing alike besides that.

The only similarities those characters share are cosmetic and again, its only one thing.: They are all blue.

Even worse, they aren't even the same shade of blue.
