You can write what you want, my opinion is mine and you can't change it. Sorry I don't think this looks phenomonal, but sometimes someone dislikes something you love. C'est la vie, Loki. C'est la vie.

Don't be dissing Loki now. At least you got someone who cares about your opinion. :whatever:

@A Necessary Evil look, if you're stating that it is for a fact a rip-off of Bale's Batman, it's not exactly just an opinion. If you just say you don't like it, THEN it is an opinion

He said that it IS a Bale knockoff. Also, I don't love the movie and I acknowledge that it may be terrible. I just get sick and tired of seeing some people (particularly some comic book fans) making broad judgments about projects based of very little evidence. No matter how many times that they are proven wrong, they just keep doing it and never seem to learn. We have one clip, how people can say that there is something off about a movie that isn't finished yet and is a year away form release is beyond me. How about we all wait until closer to its release to make our judgments, when we have actual evidence.

Also, if your opinion has very little to support it, then of course I will disagree with you. If you want to fire back at me, fine, debate is good.

@Loki882

agreed. it's clearly just Jamie's "villain voice", and it's not THAT similar, they are just both in the category of low growly/raspy voices, and even then it's such a vague category with the amount of those type of voices we have gotten in movies. But still people accuse it of being a rip-off... :whatever:

I'm not getting the point...were people expecting him to use a high-pitched voice?

Jamie Foxx, despite being a great actor, is not an ideal choice for the role. Hell, I don't even think Electro was the best choice of a villain for this movie, not to mention how mediocre the Lizard was. I don't really care for any of the casting, sans Garfield & Stone. The look of him is terrible, and yes, the deep gravely voice is a Bale knockoff. Your opinions of the twist non-withstanding, we had freaking Ben Kingsley, a tiny little british actor put on a deep, commanding voice for ''The Mandarin", and while Foxx is no Kingsely, he could have done something awesome with it. The set photos are just meh, and Giamatti looks to be hamming it up as much as possible as the Rhino (though I wait judgement for the look.) The first one really brought nothing new to the table, though I did like the chemistry between Garfield & Stone (I agree its better than Maguire & Dunst's chemistry was), and was really the high point of the first movie for me. I don't know, it's something off about this movie, I just don't think it looks good, and thats it.
you really are a necessary evil on this forum :o haters gonna hate

so Necessary Evil just ignores logical reasoning and brushes it off with basically saying "I'm right, plain and simple"

well, this is internet afterall

Electro should sound like he's on helium, like in teh comics!

Y'know what I hate more than anything? People that rarely post on this side of the forum, but show up once we get anything official or otherwise just to bash it/bash people for liking it.

I love the teaser video for Electro, very foreboding.

The first line, is it "feel it in the walls" or "my bones"? The first time I thought walls, then bones a couple times, and the last view I heard walls again. Wtf, am I crazy? Either would make sense, what with electrical wiring in the walls and Electro being Electro.

Is anyone speculating on what the chair he's sitting in is? I assume its the experiment that gives him powers (I highly doubt it'll be him getting struck by lightning on a telephone pole) but it could be him trying to amplify his powers ("Well, I wanna know too")

I like what Foxx is doing with him. Electro has always been kind of a goofball with serious powers, and while he starts off that way, he slowly gets more unhinged.

I'm not overly impressed with the general look of Electro.. he's running a very fine line of looking like Mr. Freeze in B&R or even closer to Dr. Manhattan from Watchmen.

Before I am raped by people saying I'm just a hater, even though I'm stating an opinion, the one solace I have is that based on the promo of him they do seem to be adding some after effects that make it appear like there is massive energy under his skin, which I do like.

I'm pretty sure he says ''i can feel it in the walls''

As for the chair , idk he says that they can't contain it/him so i guess he's put in a voltage cell at Oscorp after his accident.
Or that's where he gets his powers.

His voice is modulated to sound staticy (meaning raspy) and deeper than normal, Foxx isn't ripping off Bale at all, Batman could control the tempo of his voice, maybe due to his condition, Electro can't. Anyway, is it just me or does Jamie sound a little Australian in the clip? Lol

I think where it takes place is after the first battle with Spidey and they get him because right here it seems he's just discovering more of his powers

Point A - How many people have done a deep, raspy, smokers cough voice, other than Bale? He doesn't sound like a threat to me, he sounds like a freaking nerd pretending to be Batman, sue me for thinking it. Most people decide to come up with something alot more clever than that. Examples? Let's see....

Ben Kingsley's Mandarin
Tom Hardy's Bane
Heath Ledger's Joker
Freaking even Mickey Rourke did something with his voice for Iron Man 2, and his role was underused, I'm sure more will come to mind.

Point B- I can think he ripped it right off Bale, because of "Oh, I came up with this voice for Electro, its deep and raspy" or whatever he said, because hilariously enough I remember the "I was on set, and I came up with this line, the itsy bitsy spider came up the water spout, down came Electro, and washed the spider out!" Quote. Yeah, never heard that one before Gob- I mean...Electro. :whatever:

Also, as for the "never posts then comes in randomly" comment, I used to post on the TASM forums alot, back when the first movie came out, as I quite liked it. I didn't post on here for TASM2, cause like I said previously, nothing in this movie, sans Garfield and Stone, interest me. But hey, I'll just let you guys love every minute of a movie that I personally think doesn't look good, from a movie that wasn't that much better than its original. I never attacked any of you, and much like the freaking worshippers that you are, you naturally get pissed when someone has a difference of opinion.

I agree with Necessary Evil. This looks stupid so far. They fixed Spidey's suit and it looks fantastic but you look at Lizard, Electro, and what Paul is doing so far and it is like they get worse and worse. The first movie to me was so below average and lame for me. The writing was off and Peter was written as a complete tool. Some things I liked, but overall, no.
Now we get a sequel and it is shaping up to be worse. I don't care for Jamie that much as an actor, and I'm sorry but him painted blue looks completely goofy. He doesn't remind me of electricity. The first thing that comes to mind is a nebula. A space alien creature. He's got the stars in his head. Then he comes out here looking like a SyFy channel alien monster doing his best Batman impression. Excuse me while I shiver in fear.
The only thing I give that teaser is it has cool shots leading up to it. Interesting angles.
This is painful to me because I love Spider-Man so much, and here they are shoving out these crappy films that make the character and his villains look completely crappy.

You can flame me all you want.

Opinions are opinions. It's harsh to say they're messing up all the villains though. Lizard wasn't the best by any means but he wasn't an absolute screw up. Not to mention we haven't even seen anything of Rhino yet and you're already negative about it...

Nope Lizard looked derpy, sounded derpy, had a dry, ill-thought out plot, no good interactions or dramatic ties with anyone to make it interesting and I said SO far on Paul. He looks like a complete loony toon on set. You have to agree on that. Look at dem faces. LOOK.
