The Amazing Spider-Man Jamie Foxx IS Electro

I'd love for Spidey to run out of webbing. Would be interesting to see what he'd come up with on the spot, to take Electro down. If he doesn't have any webbing, then he has to use the environment.

Kinda like what happened against Lizard, who broke his webshooters and Spidey had to use the environment.

Yeah and hes webbing didnt work underwater, but again that underwater scene was so freaking awesome.
So much tension, he couldnt breath and I felt like he could have died....

But anyway, running out of fluid in the 2nd would be a great plot idea.

I was looking over on wikipedia about an Ultimate version of Electro plotline...

Peter then arrives, wearing his Spider-Man costume but no mask, and proceeds to fight the four remaining members of the Six. After a pitched battle, Electro is about to deliver the killing shot on a beaten and exhausted Spider-Man, but before he can strike he is shot three times from behind by Aunt May. He 'short circuits' in a massive electrical surge

Yeah that's from Death of Spider-Man. Which I really hope they don't adapt into a film.

I want something like that, but don't redo SM2.

****, that's all we need.

TAS-M 2 copies S-M 2 and TAS-M 3 copies S-M 3 in some way, lol.

I think it'll be best for us to not see Peter losing his powers. If anything, we should see Peter noticing him becoming stronger and faster, possibly leading into a storyline of Peter thinking the spider will be taking over like a nod to Man-Spider.

That would actually make alot of sense since he knows what happened to Connors.

Indeed.

I think it was good they covered the origins aspects again in TASM - it gives the reboot solid grounding. But yeah, I'm not into retreating the power loss again ala SM2. They've set up the new world and I'm interested in them covering new ground. He could have anxiety but because of different circumstances.

For a fresh take on a character like Electro, a thief that works for Norman Osborn and close to Nels Van Adder who blames spiderman for what happened to their friend Curt they find someone to gain the upper hand and receive powers to take him down. Jamie Fox, a new look, great actor I would like to see and find out how interesting he can make this character. Hope the suit is awesome too.

The late Laura Ziskin was prodcuer on Stealth, I wonder if she had anything to do with the casting of Jamie Foxx before she passed away.

I doubt it, considering she died early into the production for ASM.

But who knows, maybe she did suggest him during the early phases of TASM before they knew which villain they wanted to use.

I think the death of Spider-Man could make for an entertaining film

Thanks

I too think it would fit quite well with what happened in the first film, Oscorp, and it would also take back to Peter's first conversation with Connors(excluding the moment at OsCorp) where Peter asked Connors how much of the animal would be in control or something as to that effect. For now, we don't have an answer as to why it worked so well with Peter, but there could be moments that Peter is believing the spider could be taking over in some way. In the end, though, it should basically just be Peter finding out that he's just becoming better in using his abilities and that's why he's becoming more stronger/faster/et cetera, but for a while he could have that fear.

As you can tell, I really want to enjoy TAS-M, haha. But it just has some faults(specifically after the first hour mark) that it's hard to ignore.

Until this point I'm with you

If we see Peter getting even faster and stronger, I'd love to have a scene where he just lets his Spider-sense take over. Like Electro's electricity is all over the place and Peter has a hard time to get to him, maybe even have him bruised and battered at this point, so we can have a damaged mask and see one of his eyes.

So instead of focusing on where the Electricity is, he just closes his eyes and lets instinct take over. Bobbing, weaving and dodging all of Electro's attacks, until they are standing face to face. Then Peter's eyes open, their eyes connect for a second and BAM!, a fist straight into Electro's face.

The Man-Spider doesn't need to actually happen. It can show up in Peter's nightmares. You could tie Venom into Peter's fear of becoming the Man-Spider. Rather than a suit that cures cancer, Peter could willingly take the symbiote believing that it would suppress the possible mutation.

or have the nightmare because what happened to Connors

I think that would be kinda cool, no Man-Spider, but Peter fearing that he could turn into a monster like Connors.

Don't know about Man-Spider, but I'd definitely like to see the Six-Arms-Saga played out in one of the movies

This would be a great scene. Something slo-mo of Spidey darting through electricity with his eyes closed and that spider-sense sound from the first movie and that being the only noise during the scene until he knocks Electro off his feet.

No Man-Spider mutation, it's annoying in the 90s cartoon

You really didn't understand my post then.

I said it should be a NOD to the Man-Spider where Peter only believes he's becoming stronger and faster because the spider is taking over, but it never truly does. Peter will only become stronger and faster because he has matured into his powers, but the thought and fear of the spider taking over should be a storyline.

I don't know. Spider-man is not that fast, despite his amazing spider-sense. He's not the Flash and he shouldn't be able to dodge shooting bolts of electricity as if he's Neo from The Matrix or something.
