Jared Leto IS The Joker - Part 10

I want Batman to dress like a mouse instead of a bat, and wear a ballerina costume. Its all in the execution. :o

That would go against the premise of the character. The Joker could be Jason Todd and still maintain his most important characteristics. You're not a big fan of logic i see.

there's your mistake, right there

For the love of Zod the Joker's not Jason Todd! :cmad:

Creativity does wonders. But not everyone is creative enough to see beyond the obvious.

Oh, its not that I'm not creative enough. Its that I have taste. I don't want to see a cheap Joker-knockoff that is essentially a depressed and petulant former Robin instead of the brilliant and insane arch-nemesis of Batman from the comics. I don't want to see Harley become Harley because of Jason Todd rather than because of the Joker. And I don't think Zach Snyder or anyone else on this production is stupid enough to make Joker be Jason Todd just because it would be a momentary "twist" that some fans think would be "kewl" for some bizarre reason.

You're assuming you know what the entire story would be. If that was the story, i wouldn't like it too. But it doesn't mean you can't possibly create an interesting storyline where Jason Todd is The Joker. You just need a good creative mind behind it. Character's origins change all the time in comics and in many instances, they end up working.

So the burden of proof is on me to discount an ethereal, unspecific, imaginary storyline where this ridiculous idea somehow works without Joker either being "Joker in Name Only" or Jason Todd being "Jason in Name Only"

Creativity does not preclude the existence of bad ideas.

Just because you can't see how it could work doesn't mean it couldn't. Accordingly to the fanbase, a good percentage of the great movies and great actor/character choices we have now were originally a bad idea.

for someone who goes on and on about "logic," you sure beg the question and engage in non sequiturs a lot

I now believe that every few weeks there's gonna be a new user on the SS threads that's gonna claim that Jason Todd is The Joker.

The cycle continues....

You can keep saying that, but Joker being Jason Todd is an unnecessary backstory that fundamentally changes the relationship between him and Batman into something less interesting.

I don't know where this Jason Todd as Leto!Joker rumor/idea came from, but it's ridiculous.

It depends. Do you know how the relationship between them would be? I don't think you have enough information to make such claim. A lot of you are acting like if you actually knew what the storyline would be and how the characters relationship would be handled. You don't.

You don't need to see the storyline to see how the Joker being Jason would change their relationship. You just need common sense.

ah, the old "you don't know everything about the film so you can't discount every remote possibility no matter how hilariously unlikely it is" argument

classic sign of desperation
