" i don't keep count. i'm going to kill everyone in this room. "

everyone knows that frank miller used david bowie as inspiration for his joker, and it's even more clear in this video.

Kind of funny how years ago we were looking at an old Tom Waits vid as inspiration for Heath's Joker.

I was so surprised how much inspiration was taken from Tom Waits, his voice and mannerism were really similar. But in the Bowie video he's definitely on fairy dust the constant stroking of his cane, and sniffling makes it kind of obvious, but yes very Joker like.

Wow, never realized that Miller's Joker was inspired by Bowie but it makes perfect sense.

Love the Joker look, that guy tortures/kills you AND steals your gf. The menace is real.

this is me whenever i'm on tinder and i see girls lying about their age.

I know this is petty and pointless but it annoys so much when people stand like this. You know with all their weight on one leg and their other leg just forward and dangling there? You're the god damned Batman! Stand confidently with both your feet planted ffs! Nothing about his body language communicates strength or confidence here. He does this on the very last shot of the trailer where he and superman face off on the Batmobile too and it's vaguely annoying to me.

Tom Hardy is a master of body language and one of the reasons Bane came off so powerful.

Yeah, tell them man. Batman should stand like a big hairy muscular macho man. Not like Angelina Jolie. One dip of his sweat and you drop your panties. Tell em. A bunch of hicks playing banjo in the background and Burt Reynolds with a mustache. That'll do pig, that'll do.

I just think body language is an important part of acting.

Not perfect but a quick manip i made of what i wish Joker would look like

you wish Joker was invisible?

EDIT: nevermind I see it now...

I come for a discussion about Jared Leto as the Joker, and the first thing I see is someone complaining about the way Batman is standing in a fan manip. I love this place.
Anyways, I'm still not on board with the tattoos. But the man has the perfect bone structure for the character; I have always pictured him with a gaunt, hungry look and a long narrow face. My mind is not made up yet, I'm going to wait it out and see if the tattoos grow on me, but there's a lot that's working for me with the character.

I'm sure The Joker would love it.

But I've accepted the new Joker. Because I already have a classical looking Joker in Batman 89. I have the definitive Joker from Mark Hamill in BTAS. We have the chaotic Joker from The Dark Knight. This is a new version I'm ready to embrace.

I'm ok with hero's looking like they came straight out of the comic. I'm ok with switching things up for the villains.

It's nice to see someone be level-headed and appreciative of the ever-changing and expanding legacy of Joker adaptations.

I know not everyone feels this way, but for me, part of the fun of getting these different versions of the same characters over the years is seeing how the creative teams behind them tweak, twist, and modify these iconic characters whilst still keeping the core essence. I'm not only talking about the visual aesthetics, but everything.

Such rationality is not welcome here! :o

And Anakin Skywalker is actually Jason Todd which means that Mark Hamill played the son of Jason Todd before voicing the Joker.

Definitely  if you're gonna do the same character multiple times, gotta change things up. Can't keep repeating.

You don't NEED to change things up, but I like when things are changed and wind up working out for the best in terms of delivering a unique vision that is still true to the character.

The visual changes for Heath's Joker worked, and I'm hoping these do, as well.
