Some prisoners in jail and some patients in mental hospitals have access to hair products. I guess Arkham figures its better to indulge Joker's hair style choices than risk pissing him off. Either that or his hair stays like that on its own.

You don't NEED to change things up, but I like when things are changed and wind up working out for the best in terms of delivering a unique vision that is still true to the character.

The visual changes for Heath's Joker worked, and I'm hoping these do, as well.

Same here. I'm just somewhat disappointed because no actor cast before Leto evokes my personal preference for Joker's physical features quite like he does. Seeing him in more of a traditional Joker look would've sent me over the moon. What we were given has grown on me though.

I feel like they just picked a weird, quirky, creepy Joker laugh to place in the trailer as his "intro". I have little doubt that Leto's Joker will have the kind of crazy, maniacal, "classic Joker" laughs that we would all expect him to have in the film.

In other words, he won't always have the "old man laugh".
