I'm wrong, the pic actually leaked a couple days after SS started filming (April 13th). Still, it's odd that he'd have that and is wearing the white suit from DKR.

But let's look at it like this. There is a moment in one of the batman v superman trailers where Bruce is looking up at the now defaced Robin costume.

Think about that for a second from the general audiences perspective. That's clearly a focal point of that scene. It's not like that guy in age of Ultron mentioning Wakanda. It's not a wink wink to us the fans. The GA is going to watch as
This movie focuses on a defaced Robin suit and say "what the hell happened?!".
Is the movie going to just leave people in the dark? You can't just graze by that and say "that clown killed him Alfred!".
It has no impact in a visual medium when you don't show it. I mean what are they going to do? Zoom in on Bruces face for 5 minuets while he tells the story? The audience wants to know Why did he kill him? How did he kill him? Why should I care? I just don't buy that joker is 100% absent, especially for the casual audiences sake.

Maybe we get flashes of it when Bruce is sleeping or brooding. It would help explain his rising violence aswell.

Don't forget this gem, straight from Letos phone.
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't this pic leaked before SS started filming?
He's wearing the white suit from DKR, the same
Comic that heavily inspired BvS and he doesn't appear to have tooth caps. I mean it looks to me like he's in.
Now it could just be a casting video if it were filmed before SS, but would they really give the video to Leto to put on his phone?

The photo from his phone is what people assume is the video he made for the Suicide Squad cast.

He sent them a video as well as *gifts*. I don't think he'd have actually footage on his phone.

You never know. His Joker reveal was leaked over his personal Snapchat.
Would Snyder just have Ayer do a scene for him? Not sure about that.
Considering how much Snyder loves including everything he can in projects he loves, I'm entirely sure that a Joker cameo by Leto is in the movie, and not just references.

If it was a cameo it'd only have to be quick flashes just a few seconds long.

I guess we will find out in a month from now, some of you guys sooner than that... Lucky! I'm just hoping to get midnight tickets before they sell out.

I hope we get some flashback sequences of The Joker. So ready to see what he's going to bring to the character. So ready for the DCEU...

We never got casting on Jason Todd or Robin. I have a hard time thinking you do the killing of Jason and NOT cast the part, either for flashbacks for Batman or to use that actor for future projects (Red Hood ect.). As such I cannot put any stock in the idea floating around now of Joker being in BvS. People that say "Well they can't just reference that you have to show the Joker to make it clear to the audience" and... It's the Joker. The most famous Batman villain. The audience would be able to put two and two together.

Rumored scene from IMDB.

Probably not true. But oh well.

I heard about from a person who told me he saw an early screening (it's not the first time he claims this, he is involved in film industry, he saw an early screening of Deadpool too and he was correct about everything), and he told me we will see a flashback with the Joker who tortures Jason Todd, then proceeds to beating him to death with a crowbar, all while laughing out loud. At one point Todd allegedly asks him why he enjoys torturing him, while a psychotic Joker replies "I'm just playing with you Jason, you're my toy now, not Batsy's anymore."

It's a really creepy scene even in PG-13 format, i think this is one of the main reasons why the DVD-release will be R-rated.

Again... In these rumors do they mention who plays Todd? Cuz that is a big casting of a character. Dollars to donuts we don't even see a picture of Todd in the cave or Bruce's home.

That's what makes these rumors false in my eyes. There's nothing in these scene descriptions that I can't think of myself.

By the way, I literally went to the store after I read that, and got some donuts.

Well Leto is not in the casting either. The idea unfortunately takes some faith.
You'd have to have faith in the idea that Snyder and WB are so content in keeping the reveal a secret that they would keep Leto and the unknown teenage actor out of the cast list.

Then again
It could be something as simple as a slow mo shot of a white gloved hand swinging a crowbar and then a cut to a toothy grin mixed with the sounds of a young man screaming in pain. You don't need to cast Robin or Leto to do that

Does anyone think it could be Alex Meraz? If they cowled him up I could see him being Jason Todd.

Alex Meraz was one soldiers in the Suicide Squad trailer. You can see him behind Rick Flag when Harley steals the purse at the end of the trailer and there is a shot of him fist bumping Scott Eastwood.

:hehe:

IIRC Ayer said that the fans will be surprised at how much things will connect across these movies. Makes me think that Ayer shooting a Joker cameo for BvS isn't that unrealistic. I thinks it's cool when different directors can collaborate like this across movies, especially when the studio reigns aren't too tight and they get enough room to do their own thing.

Viola worked with Will on the highly anticipated anti-hero movie, Suicide Squad. "I just think this is going to be fabulous!" Viola beams. "Every night I'd get on the phone and say to my husband, ‘You can't even believe what we did tonight! Oh my god.’ ...And Jared Leto, man, a dead pig. His henchman brought a box into the green room and Will Smith opened it. And he was like, ‘Oh, my god,’ and there were bullets with our names on it. And then the henchmen came back with an iPad and opened it and it was him, the Joker... going ‘Ahhhhhhh, I can't wait to meet you all! I hope you enjoyed my gift.’ And all of us collectively, you could read everyone's mind. We're terrified... but then the other thought was, Oh man I got to go back to my work! Oh man he's really stepping it up here. It was awesome!"

Full video below is a bit more detailed.

If he said that, then that's awesome. We already got a glimpse of a battered Robin suit in the first trailer.

We don't need to see Robin's face if he's just going to get his ass beat by The Joker. All you'd need is a stuntman.
