All that chit chat's gonna get cha hurt.

Absolutely.
Don't need him to be the main villain, but he NEEDS to be in it.

I so badly want Leto's Joker as the main villain of a solo Batman movie but I'd certainly be okay with settling for a smaller appearance. As long as he's there, I'm game.

Hmm

So does he bang his head twice or are they now using an alternate take? The first one is the newest one. Seems like a different color grade as well.

Looks like two different takes of the same scene. I doubt he does it twice...of course I could always be wrong.

Yup. I hope they use the newer one with the crazy look in his eyes. Also the fact that he looks directly into the camera here, as well as in that "I'm not going to kill ya" scene (probably Harley's POV in that case) is something I really like. I know that it's something that should be avoided, but it could be this Joker's thing, being on the verge of breaking the fourth wall with quick glimpses to the audience like this.

For the reason mentioned above, this take is probably the one that won't be used though.

Yea I noticed the different color grade as well. Not digging it, more often than not films will release trailers with vibrant colors and then the film is a semi tone off from lomography and very colorless. For instance the Dark Knight had very colorful beautiful trailers but the final product did not reflect that and in turn that was more than a nitpick for me and it took some enjoyment out of it.. For me anyway.

The footage from the music videos looks very dark(brightness/contrast wise) and I hope that's not the case.

Yea that is the part that sucks. I remember Django Unchained had a different "Now you have my attention" cut in its trailers that was different from the movie. Still good, but bothered me a bit.

Good point about the Dark Knight. I've mentioned before that it seems like there a lot of different "colors" used for Joker in this movie's promotion. Some seem vastly different from others.

I like the newest one though. Lets hope whatever color grade they decided on works out best.

The original scene had a yellow/green hue, making his skin look off. Nothing to do with light or dark, just color correction.

No there is a slight darker look as well, not just color grading. It doesn't look bad, just not as good.

I agree there. It'd be nice to have Joker almost be aware he's a fictional character. Not to the same extent as Deadpool, per se, but just enough for it to be funny.

Both he & Harley have constantly done things of that nature in the comics. Who knows? Maybe we'll get lucky? :woot:

I think I remember this. Yeah, they shouldn't show us these other cuts that we, as by some rule, always end up preferring to the ones being used.

Definitely nowhere near Deadpool's level, what I had in mind is much more subtle, like these short, unsettling glances in his moments of madness and perhaps even using other character's POV in rare instances, like with that scene in Arkham Asylum where we see through Harley's eyes. It would be crucial to remain subtle and not overdo it, I'm not even sure whether it could be called breaking the fourth wall, but I believe it would work very well for a character such is Joker.

I totally get what you mean, we're actually thinking the EXACT same thing. haha

Like maybe someone says something that's ironic or ridiculous & the Joker looks to the screen and gives a remark that shows some self-awareness. I've had my fingers crossed on it for a long time now.

With the reshoots having took place I'm still very hopeful on it.
