I can't say that "businessman Joker" has been the selling point of this version as far as I can tell in any way shape or form. Two mentions among the thousands of words talking about Leto's Joker hardly seems like a "main description" of Leto's take.

I'd agree until I realized they haven't said much about Joker's actual characterization in this movie. It's been more about what Leto was like on set, and how he approached playing the character rather than details of his characterization in the story. After Googling this I see it's been more than just two mentions. Producers as well like Charles Roven have been saying it, too;

'Charles Roven also chimed in on Leto’s new take on The Joker, and said that his outfit was inspired by Mexican cartels. According to Roven, he’s “more social…a very successful and smart businessman besides being a sociopath.”'
