yes

trash it immediately

Instead of spewing out that black liquid, instead he's chewing on trash throughout the movie.

Chip I think you should watch Suicide Squad again to see if Leto improves for you. ;)

In motion the tat never bothered me though.

Agreed. I thought it'd be distracting but it honestly wasn't. I wouldn't be bothered if it stayed going forward.

I think they probably should get rid of it simply because it inhibits The Joker being presented in different ways.

And since Ayer confirmed that the Joker got his teeth knocked out, he can also swap out the metal grillz with normal-looking dentures.

There we go. Start from scratch.

I actually think it would be cool/creepy if the Joker is wearing some obviously fake teeth.

Nah, I like the grill. It transforms his face. The tattoo can go.

Do you guys think if Leto's Joker makes his way into Affleck's Batman movie that the look and the way the character was portrayed in SS will stay the same? Or will Affleck tweak it? Would that be something you guys are wanting?

Terrio isn't writing the Batman film.

I'd like them to change his look to something more eloquent and refined. The street thug aesthetic did not work for me, especially because it didn't inform the character at all and simply felt like change for the sake of it. I will never advocate making something aesthetically displeasing just 'cause. As for the way the character was portrayed, it's hard to say considering how much of the Joker material got cut from SS. It's possible that Leto did bring some nuance to the role, but all that was left in the film were his over-the-top Looney Tunes moments.

I will wait until it comes out on blu ray to watch again

maybe my hate for Leto's Joker will calm down by then, who knows.

Heh, you read my mind, Rod. I was watching this just yesterday and thought it would be nice to see him do this in Batman solo.

It would lend itself to the creep factor. Also, it adds to dynamics of age... old man Joker removing his false teeth :hehe:

Maybe have Batman knock out the grill? Then walk around with a bloody mouth the rest of the movie? Joker can just add makeup over damaged because he suddenly had a change of heart and doesn't feel that way anymore.

Nice photoshop.

I definitely think there will be some tweaking if/when Leto appears in the Batman solo. I'm hoping for some tweaks in characterization, ditch the damaged tat, the jewelry, add the purple suit.

I think the problems with Leto's Joker is Suicide Squad are easily correctable. Drop the superficial/materialistic Mob Boss theme, they've established that he's crazy and somewhat unpredictable, now they need to give him a purpose other than making money for clubs and sports cars & being obsessed with Harley.

Give him a better written script/dialogue, a mastermind plot to cause extreme situations for Batman/GCPD/Gotham to scramble to try to stop and I think he can be great in this role. I like his deliveries of lines, the laugh, his voice, most of his mannerisms etc. He just wasn't given alot of work with and limited him to a minor role with not much to do.
