I hope he conveys that natural showmanship quality he possesses. This image is pure Joker like

Is it? I mean... some are trying real hard to tie everything this guy does to the Joker.

I ain't one to say everything he does radiates Joker either. That said, the energy and showmanship of a rock n roll front man would dove tail nicely into the flamboyance and theatricality most associate with The Clown Prince Of Crime.

If The Joker isn't a frontman for a mediocre band in this movie, I will flip tables.

Leto's smile, is why we don't need prosthetics... that thing is perfect all by itself.

I believe that this happens because of the dearth of photos of Leto in full Joker garb. Once that happens, people will divert their energy from trying to see how Leto's actions could lend themselves to portraying the Joker, and more toward how he is embodying the character.

He actually is looking a bit more buff huh? Itll be good to see a Joker that could actually hurt Bats with strength .

Not sure that's really something the character needs.

A muscular Joker is gonna be awesome. Not some expert in martial arts, but someone who can just slap a thug around with ease to show him who's boss.

I agree. I know there has been some appearances where he was able to have fisticuffs with Batman, but a buff or muscular looking Joker doesn't seem right to me. He's a lean looking character.

And judging by his looks now, he's not going to be that buff or muscular by the time they get underway :p

I don't think people know what lean muscle body is, so they are overreacting a bit. We're not getting a Schwarzenegger type Joker. :D

I don't mind joker having a little muscle.
I know he's more often than not drawn rail thin by most artist but I don't consider it a terribly important part of the character.
If I can accept Nicholson's tubby joker I can accept a joker who stays in shape.:oldrazz:

He doesn't have to be muscular or beefed to be ripped. He can still be thin framed, but have a body like Bruce Lee :p

One of the things I like about the Joker is his improvisation in the moment. How he manages to turn almost any situation to his favour.

The ending of B89 shows this really well, I think. Batman is on the warpath, and is the better fighter. But Joker keeps the gags going, ala his chattering teeth. He puts on his glasses, is punched and seemingly falls to his death. But then Batman and Vicki are the ones fighting for their lives. And he then lends Vicki a 'hand'.

You think the gags are harmless - and most are. But it's the one that isn't which catches you off guard.
