Jared Leto IS The Joker - Part 6

Just say you don't like the design. That's fine. Say you don't think they'll play into the plot, that's fine.

That is EXACTLY what I've been saying this whole time. Wake up.

But when you say that there's no possible context for them, that they're a waste of screentime, that none of that tattoos sans the potential Robin one have any meaning...well then you're making actual claims about the plot of the film. The plot that you know nothing about.Seriously, you're actually saying that scars have stories and tattoos don't. That's just ridiculous.

The other tattoos don't have any stories behind them that would be worth telling, the Robin one clearly does and maybe if he has others we haven't seen they will. But the rest are pretty self-explanatory. But whatever, like I said this topic has worn thin and it's clear some of you want to twist what I'm saying into something else. Discussing something with someone putting different motives behind what I'm saying isn't any fun.

I can't believe people are still getting worked up over the Joker tattoo photo... we don't know conclusively if they are even actually in the film – there has been mention that they're not from credible sources.
Even so, when wearing a purple suit... or prison overalls, they won't be seen.
I like the grill on his teeth personally – I can envisage a scene with the Joker in his cell at Arkham, face shrouded in shadow, but the light reflecting of his teeth in a big wide grin.

I know this is old but I really hope this is his Joker voice...

There is another one but it has swear words, can't post it. If this is his Joker voice, that's going to add alot to his performance. It's great.

i know what you mean. it's cartoonish , but in a good way.

I'm assuming SS will be PG-13, and I know PG-13 can have one f-bomb (depending on context). But I want the Joker to drop one. He seems like the kind of character that would incorporate some colourful language.

" i'm erik lensherr. "

" and i'm charles xavier. "

"go **** yourselves. "

Best part of Days of Future Past was when Charles told Wolverine to **** off.

This thread :hehe:

The Joker's got y'all riled up.

Watchmen was rated R wasn't it? That may not seem relevant to anyone else but considering this, I'm campaigning for an R rated Suicide Squad.. without it, wtf? :o

The books were treading into R-territory, SS not so much from what I've read.

But with David Ayer directing, and the kind of tone he's giving it? Seems to me it could veer into an R rating.

WB wants to compete with Marvel, and you can't do that if the third movie in your expanding universe is restricted from a huge selection of the audience.

I think the film would be perfectly fine if it was PG-13. The Dark Knight is known as one of the "darkest" mainstream comic book movies and it didn't have a drop of blood.

I'm not opposed to an R-rating at all, but I'm sure Ayer can tread that line. Hell, George Miller directed two Happy Feet movies and Babe: Pig in the City. A director's resume doesn't say everything.

That makes sense, for sure. Just my heartfelt desire to R rate everything and anything I imagine, lol ;)
I am sure they can push the boundaries with a PG 13, in crafty ways.

I would love an R rating for sure, I was just not getting my hopes up. Despite how bad I want it,

This is true. And I didn't even miss it. I think that, strangely, lack of blood made those scenes even more impactful, as we're so used to seeing blood in movies and it would probably just distract from the point.

By the way, following the same train of thought, I must add that I found this part from TDKR to be annoying:

Most neat and stylish dead man ever. And he was actually shot with automatic rifles!

Yeah his death was a botch job. There's a set video of him getting hit by the Tumbler and it looks way better,

Only if he calls Batman "hothead" during the fight against him.

and marvel has deadpool. point being ?

either way, i wouldn't really mind if this ends up being R rated to be honest. it could really go either way in my opinion.

lol, wat?

I'm talking about expanded universes. Marvel owns Deadpool, but not the movie rights, that's Fox. I'm drawing a box office comparison between Marvel's expanded universe and DC's. Deadpool is not part of Marvel's expanded universe, he may be in Fox's universe but DC is not going up against Fox.
