I wasn't a huge fan of the tattoos, but after seeing the set pics / video, I think Leto looks fantastic! His expressions and mannerisms remind me a lot of BTAS. I can understand why some hate the tattoos (and, truthfully, it wouldn't have been my first choice), but I don't find them to be distracting at all. Besides, they're clearly going for something with his portrayal that we don't understand yet out of context.

I'm still of the mindset the tats will work into the overall story, like Dr. Quinzel calls Joker "damaged" and he tatttoos it on his forehead to get under her skin.

I'm also still seriously wondering if Joker won't have multiple looks. The scene we've got pics are all flashbacks, right?

Yeah I wasn't attacking him personally, I'm just tired of seeing that picture in this thread.

I love that video of Joker and Harley...his movements, his body language...are spot on!

I'll admit when I saw the official pic of Leto's Joker I didn't really care for it that much...but now after seeing more pics of him on set, in clothes, and seeing that video...I'm really loving everything.

I can see more of what they're going for with the character.

They are really playing up his 'bad boy' charm, and giving him a bit of sex appeal...which is understandable since they have to explain to a general audience (who might not be familiar with the whole Joker/Harley dynamic) how a woman, ANY woman (crazy or not) could fall in love with the Joker, and still want to be on his arm, even after he smacks her around.

Making him more clownish (traditional) I don't think would have worked that well in explaining the attraction, giving him that whole bad boy/rock star edge...yeah I can see it.

The tattoos are just a part of that.

And although it's not the Joker I was initially expecting, I'm willing to embrace a new interpretation and after seeing that leaked video I'm REALLY excited to see Leto's performance, I can't WAIT to hear his voice! t:

If I can love Ledger's Joker (even though I still am not crazy about his look) because of his performance, then I sure as heck can overlook a few tattoos if Leto's performance is half as good as that leaked clip hinted at.

I've come to the conclusion that Leto's Joker looks like everyone with short hair and/or makeup. At least that's what the internet is telling me.

His hair is perfect - both colour and style... Looks really cool in the stills from the scene where he's slapping Harley (mid slap).

type in perfect joker on google and that cosplayer apperas first rows...and some nail the look better even if they aren't acting better or dont fit in a particular vison or film. show me jared with a purple coat and hat which covers that stupid tattoo and i could live with atleast this one shot...

We've seen blurry footage of one small scene – how can we say he won't wear this?
It's like seeing the first photo of Ledger in TDK in the opening bank robbery scene... he's wearing a pretty drab grey suit!
