But that means the characters make them to look for attention. The characters make many people interested in.

I don't recall seeing the first of the three.

The garish look of this movie is growing on me and so is his heavy (and creepy) make-up.

How do ya'll think it would've went down if Heath lived? Let's say he had a small role in TDKR, did a few other massive films (Inception, Interstellar??), became more and more popular. How would you have felt with the Joker's re-casting? Don't say they wouldn't have recasted him, because they would've. They clearly are going for something different.

TMZ: Heath, what do you think about the demands of such a dark, dreary role like the Joker that has forced Leto to paint his whole body with tattoos?

Ledger: I warned him, mate.

:csad:

certain moments i hate leto's visual joker, other moments i'm starting to grow to it and quite like it.

i still feel the hair is too green. it's giving light almost. a tad darker or atleast some 'shade' to it instead of fluorescent imho would have been better. could live with the body tats, forehead tat still hate it to the bone.

i'm really, really really curious on seeing a vid of leto acting the joker.

i remember i was blown away and must have seen that first ledger video reveal of the joker with the 'youre a freak...like me!' and 'evening, commisioner' and that amazing laugh. i was sold instantly and still a bit bummed to this day the trailer 'freak like me' never made it the same way into the movie'.

in any case, i don't doubt leto's acting capabilities. i really like his joker-voice as he did a little sneak reveal at one of his performances ["really....really....reallly...crrazzzzy"]. I just want to see some dialog.

either way i'm starting to grow to this movie. I hated the idea at first, i guess all the media attention and hype works.

I'll say Heath's Joker performance ultimately perhaps gets a bit 'blown up' because of his untimely death, making it sort-of a legendary performance.
I could imagine the 'praise' he got for his acting would have been a bit salted had he still lived.

Either way. i'm kinda hooked on SS news now. :woot:

Too bad you missed the vid of leto as Joker that was leaked a few days ago. He was awesome.

If Leto does a great performance but has this character design (or at least the dumb parts of it like the tattoos and teeth), it would would almost be like Anne Hathaway giving a great performance as Selina Kyle while wearing Halle Berry's Catwoman outfit. Maybe not quite as bad, but a similar thing.

Sadly, I liked neither Hathaway's casting or her costume.

While the interpretation worked in Nolan's universe, I didn't think much of her.
While Hardy was great as Bane, TDKR delivered very unspectacular and uninspiring qualities to the villains.

I am so excited to see Catwoman in the current movie-verse at some point. Ditto all of Batman's classic rogues.

Darn good fan-art that is! I wish the hair colour was more like it is on the right, you know, not bouncing bright light off of it.

The Penguin needs to be done. No disrespect to DeVito or the Gotham TV show version, but to me we haven't seen classic dapper, elegant, devious, ruthless, umbrella weapon wielding Penguin since the great Burgess Meredith in the 60's.

I'm a Toby Jones man, but I absolutely agree that The Penguin is long overdue a return. He ought to be the umbilical cord between respectable Gothamite society and the lunatic supervillain "community".

I really would love to see Penguin again. He's such an underrated villain these days. I hate the Arkham games version.

Arkham's just seems to completely miss the point of the character.

No.

I'd love to see Hathaway give a great performance as Selina Kyle, regardless of the costume. :o

I need to see Ivy. I also wouldn't mind seeing Riddler and Penguin. And since they're clearly not totally steering sway from the more "unrealistic" villains, Id love to see Clayface.

The Gotham Penguin does dress pretty dapper. I do think he's the closest to comic-accurate that we've had to date.

Yeah the Gotham one is pretty close, even though he's still developing into his future self.
