Me too, I can't wait.

If nothing else the visuals Snyder would provide would be absolutely astounding.

It just occured to me, how hard it would be to actually do a faithfull Aquaman movie. I mean 80% of the flick would have to be set under water and short of a cgi movie I don't see any possibility for that to happen.

Just watched GameOfThrones Season 1 again and really watched Jason's performance. I know he didn't have a ton of acting in his role, but it was enough that I could get a good sense of his range, which was pretty good! And without a doubt, physically he'd own a superhero role! He'd make a great King of Atlantis IMO.

Instead of Blonde hair.Id rather they go with golden eyes to represent the markof kordax. That way mamoa can keep his hair black

Yeah, but I feel that another member of the JL with black/dark hair is just not as interesting. Yeah, it may be superficial, but I feel that even just sun-kissed hair would be better than his natural color. I wouldn't want to see Aquamoa with a totally blonde colored hair job, but just enough to make him different than other members.

80 percent of the film could and should take place under water. I think it is entirely plausible that a combination of practical underwater photography and cgi could make for one of the most unique and visually stunning films of the superhero genre. I am beyond excited about this possibility. An Aquaman film in this DC Universe would be like Game of Thrones underwater.

Movies that take place underwater or on the water tend to be quite expensive .

There are a few practicalities to consider, too. Watching characters communicate largely by telepathy may become grating, for instance. And most of the sea is impenetrably dark.

Warner are full of morons. First they allow that pos show Entourage to lampoon Aquaman to the point where they've made him a joke to a whole new generation of viewers. Now they want to make him an important character in the DC cinematic universe after devaluing him in the eyes of mainstream audiences? Warner has never done DC any favors with the way they've mistreated their characters. All they seem to care about is their Batman cashcow.

So why are they including Aquaman in the movies?

Because they've seen the kind of money Disney is making with 2nd tier Marvel characters and they want a piece of the pie. What they don't realize is that Disney hasn't actively devalued their properties the way WB has.

Wut?

Momoa can act just fine, he's pretty charismatic as well, but I understand you, he's not who I would have pictured in the role. Holloway is a damn good suggestion, but I have no doubt Momoa will do a very good job, just not really seeing the blond hair on him, could look funky, even a dirty blonde.

I don't agree with WB's decisions regarding DC characters either on the movie side, but it's not a good idea to go around saying stuff like that in a DC thread. There is still a chance WB can turn around and improve!

Warner owns HBO. They should have told the Entourage people to find another character to humiliate. Of course, they didn't because everyone in the DC stable is irrelevant to Warner execs(outside of Batman and Superman). If it was Batman the Entourage guys wanted to parody, WB would have stepped in immediately to tell them to stop.

He was ok in GoT but it wasn't really much of a speaking role. I thought he was incredibly obnoxious in the new Conan and never realy cared for him in SG either.

I gotta agree about that Entourage joke, everyone i know at work that watched it suddenly "knew" that Aquaman was a lame character. My brother, who knows next to nothing about comics, animated movies or comic book movies watched that show, and he's watched Family Guys jokes about Aquaman and he said to me: "That would be just like Hollywood to make a big budget movie about such a lame character."

Now, i have said it before but i dont know very much about comics, these days, true i grew up reading them(in the late 70s, early 80s mostly DC but some Marvel ones too) but i stopped sometime in the 90s when Venom and Carnage was introduced over here. I was really into Spidey then but those two characters turned me off Spiderman, and comics, almost for good. In later years i have found a comic book store close to where i live and have been buying a bunch of old used comics. I know next to nothing about this so called New 52 thing(im not even sure if any of those comics are for sale over here in Sweden) but from what i gather Aquaman is portrayed as a really intriguing character in it.

Like i said, my knowledge about Aquaman comes mostly from DC's animated movies and the internet. These days im more about the CBM but i would really like to see a movie about AM. I think that visually it could be something completly new and like i said: the character is intriguing.

Entourage, Shmentourage. The ridiculing of Aquaman as it exists today has been going on on for a very long time, way before Entourage. WB ain't gonna castigate the producers of one of their shows over a few tired old jokes.

Some fanboys have, to put it mildly, a strange view of the world of entertainment.

As for Josh Holloway? I like him a lot. But... No. Not for Aquaman. As Curry Sr. in flashbacks for an AM solo? Hell yes.

But WB did let those Schumacher Batman movies pass.
