His trident gives him some hydrokinesis power. But it's usually forgotten about.

THEY NEED to make an AQUAMAN movie.. but it should be a prequel to justice league just based on him- just focusing on how he became king and his origin story.. I think in justice league they should just refer to him as the king of atlantis and state he is half human and half atlantean and his name is arthur curry but that would likely be it.. so the aquaman will show him as how he became the most badass RULER of atlantis

I honestly don't think he looks that awful but it's obvious that blond hair isn't his thing.

he should half alot of blond highlight and/or just have him a dirty blonde..
plus it will look badass either way cause he is jason momoa.. also they made orlando bloom blonde and it worked

like Mera no. Something less bigger. I have a question... does the Ocean Master has the ability to sort of control the weather in ocean, with his trident, does that mean Aquaman too?

Just no harpoon hand.
It's not that I'm super dead set against it, but that particular version kinda felt like an attempt to have people take him seriously by changing his appearance, whereas we've learned from Johns' run, he can look like classic Aquaman and not be a joke by the writing.

But to kinda clarify what I mean by classic, I don't mind if he has a different hair color, beard or a "tribal" look to make him look like he's obviously from Atlantis.
And some suit alterations are fine.
But if they try to make him look completely different than the character like he NEEDS it to be taken seriously, I'd have an issue with it.

Snyder is good at translating from comic to screen. I don't want Aquaman to be his one departure because the powers that be are too afraid of the actual character.

I don't really mind it if he does have harpoon hand.. but he should definetly have the beard because everyone else is cleanshaven and goodie two shoes in the JL, and plus beards make you look like man.. Plus jason momoa looks badass with the beard...

I think there is some truth in this. You can compare the literary and movie incarnations of the Fellowship of the Ring; the former are entirely dark haired (with the exception of the grey-headed wizard), while the latter features a range of blondes, gingers and brunettes.

The Justice League has been refined over time to offer a visual spectrum as well as a spectrum of character types and superpowers. The movie version ought to take the same approach.
