Hardy's a little guy,in real life and this movie. We Know nothing of JB background other than from the trailer and set photos he could be a orphan, with the right angles, especially shot from a distance anyone could look filled out in the TDK suit.

lol, you're not helping here.

Hardy got quite muscular to play the role and is filmed to be bigger. Levitt/Blake is not. He looks....just like Levitt does. Short and slight. Not that that really matters, but as someone to wear the batsuit...I dunno...

Or he could just be John Blake, a Gotham cop who gets very closely involved in the major events of the film...taking up some weight for the sake of justice with a Batman and Gordon presently out of commission. How is that not more than enough?

Well, that's because I'm all for JGL becoming the new Batman and catalyst for the Reboot. Folks start seriously doubting the possibility
like they actually seen the movie or it's not their ''ideal'' ending, then I'll throw in my 2 cents aswell, seems fair.

TDKR is not going to be connected to the reboot, so I don't think they would carry over the actor playing Batman.

Wait, wait, wait. Catalyst for the reboot? So you want JGL's John Blake to go on and star as Batman in the impending reboot?

Say it with me....NEVAH!

2 cents sounds about right for how much that comic idea of yours would be worth.

;)

Seriously, I don't see it being something for these movies, and as for reboot, it's more likely it'll have nothing to do with these movies. Blake is likely just Blake but of major importance to the story.

The fact alone that it's Chris Nolan directing,he likes his twists. Also in a interview with Chris Judge,he tells of a scene where JB eats him down, and reffers to JGL as a acrobat. What kind of cop can take down someone as big a judge in a fist fight?Someone who seems to me has had some sort of training, and just maybe could be a believable Batman replacement. If JGL were to take Bales place for the reboot,he has more than enough time to get bigger.Bales the classic example,The machinist-Batman Begins. Not saying JGL will wear the suit and fight..just don in like Dick Grayson did in BFTC.

OR he could very well just be John Blake Gotham City Beat Cop with the mission top take down Batman....Who dons the cowl after Bruce dies.

I don't think this supports anything. Fox might as well don the cowl because it's Chris Nolan after all.

I don't see that as a twist as much as a comic-fan fantasy, and probably a bit too comic-y for his movies. And continuing Batman with a Batman who's not Bruce Wayne? I don't think so.

But he's not Dick Grayson.

Again...a reboot would be just that, a reboot with no connection to these movies. That might be a harsh reality to imagine, but it's more likely.

Not sure I like your condensending tone sir.You remind me of someone who probably bacame a Bat-Fan because of Begins.True Nolanite.

Not trying to be condescending, son, just an honest assessment based on the films and how they've gone so far. I'm no more a fan of any comic character than any other...nor am I a 'Nolanite'. It's a fun idea in some ways, perhaps, but not really one I see as likely or appropriate for these films and as an ending installment.

That was a classy response, and for that,I respect your opinion on the matter.Either way it goes,it's gonna be EPIC.(que Gary Oldman)

What's wrong with becoming a bat-fan after Begins?

Nothing at all.Just excluding a character or possibility of something unexpecting happening(Blake becoming Batman)cause it doesn't fit in your new found Nolan Bat-films,doesn't give your opinion any credibility, just biased opinion. If Nolan made you realize just how awesome Bats really can be,well that's just awesome no doubt about it.Begins was a film that even when I was a kid would hoping someday be made, you know?Just that epic origins not to mention have Bruce Wayne look like he's supposed to..A brick house.Thank you Nolan,July 20th get here fast fool.

But again, Nolan is making these particular films with a certain style and rationale that's very much his own. Unexpected is one thing, but what that is that's unexpected still has to be something that we would likely associate with his sensibilities and preferences when it comes to the source material. Much like he probably wouldn't have a Penguin or Clayface in his movies....even if it's 'unexpected'. It's been pretty clear that he doesn't want to do a Batman world that has Robin, and he wants his take on the story to have a concrete ending with this last installment. So with that in mind, it makes it quite unlikely that he'd even base a character on any version of Dick Grayson or Robin, or that he'd introduce another Batman to open the door to continuing. It doesn't matter if a comic did it, or whether it has some sort of arbitrary 'twist' value....that simple fact hasn't been the dominating qualifying aspect of what he's chosen to portray and not portray.

It might be an interesting idea to be developed elsewhere, maybe another comic. But not for these movies, and especially not for one which is a conclusion to the saga.

And that wasn't directed at you Kal-Mart.:oldrazz:
I got ya'...and I get where you're coming from. But I also think that a different line of logic is what's at hand that's more akin to what they've been so far.

That's me. :word:

Yes, it's true. I didn't really care for Batman before I saw Batman Begins. I never really watched BTAS, and I didn't read the comics. I had seen both Burton and Schumacher films. I liked Batman, but he was nothing special to me.

Batman Begins showed me that Batman was special. I will always be a Nolan fan over a Batman fan. A true Nolanite!

Who's shorter than Alfred, Lucius, William Earle, Ra's Al Ghul....and I think even Rachel.

Heh....couldn't resist. ;)

I don't know why people are seeing JB being a new Batman. I just don't see it. I see him helping Batman as best he can, but I think Bane will kill JB. And that will give Batman an extra emotional factor in taking down Bane. I didn't think JB would be an important character, but since seeing the trailer, it seems like he'll have a real important character in this. I can't wait.
