How big of a role (screen time) do you guys think JGL is gonna have? I know his character is full of speculation and rumor...I just wonder if we are making it out to be bigger than it is eventually going to turn out to be.

I could be totally off but I bet he'll have as much screen time in this as they mayor had in TDK, maybe a bit more, or perhaps like a Mr. Earl sized role.

I can see his role being as big as Ramirez in TDK. It could be more though specially if he's sharing scenes with Gary who I expect to have a lot to do here in TDKR like in TDK.

I think the last two films showed us a lot can be done with small roles. I don't think JGL will be a main character but he could be in some pivotal scenes.

There are too many characters being introduced and characters that need closure Robin being thrown in especially when this movie is supposed to be a wrap-up of the trilogy is highly unlikely. This reminds me a lot of when Anthony Michael Hall was cast in The Dark Knight. A lot of people were shouting things like Riddler! or Why would Nolan hire a name actor to play a small part in a film he has to be a major character! but when the time came his part barely made up a minute of screentime. I have no doubt that JGL is playing a role that is a piece of the overall plot but I think people here are aiming a little too high with their predictions.

This storyline is so crappy.

I was SO hoping that Nolan would do an Arkham Asylum finale, a good and frightening look into Batman's dark side after all the mess the Joker left...

Bane is such a waste of time. I'm just hoping now that Nolan proves he has magical talents and this movie will be great anyway.

Maybe "or something": I was hoping Nolan would take something of it, just like he did with Miller and Mazzucchelli and the Killing Joke.

If there was an Arkham Asylum finale, something dark and introspective, full of these shadows (the weirdos Bats got in there) that are somehow Batman himself, that would be gorgeous.

But I'm really scratching my head now: after the Joker we get back to gangsters, and Bane? And Catwoman jumping in somewhere?

It's a funny feeling, but I'm keeping my mind open because Nolan has always surprised us. So let's see.
