I kinda hope Ryan Reynolds come back as Green Lantern. I like him enough as an actor to think he deserves another shot at the role in a better film.

Something tells me Reynolds isn't exactly chopping at the bit to return.

To be fair... I haven't seen any of his directorial efforts and his acting never really leaped out at me.

So this doesn't WOW me, but it does interest me at the very least.

I don't know.

Given the Affleck news, how long will it take cosmicbooknews.com to come up with one of their "exclusive" details.

Watch Gone Baby Gone and The Town. Affleck is literally da bomb. He's one of the few to make that transition and make it well.

God no, if they bring back Reynolds it'll tell me that they're not so serious about this movie or this shared universe that they're trying to set-up. It would be a lazy move on their part. And that the horrible "Green Lantern-2011" is the first in this universe.

I want to forget that movie, and i want WB to act like it was a completely different universe all together.

Either re-cast or bring John Stewart into it.

I'm starting to hope that we just get GL, Supes, Bats, WW and Flash. Dont mind Aquaman but im getting the feeling that they're gonna focus on those 5 for now.

But can he handle something of this magnitude?... I'm not so sure. Then again, this whole project just seems like a big rush job to me. I get that The Avengers made it big and DC/WB wants to get a taste of that, but for **** sake, walk before you can run. :o

I don't get why people keep saying this is rushed... It's at least a month or two short of three years away and got a writer a year ago.

If Affleck is involved in this JL movie I'm sold because The Town was an insane flick that was a directorial masterpiece. Seriously who the hell knew who Jermey Renner was before the town?Yeah Affleck did that. I really hope he takes the job I would have complete faith in his vision.

Affleck is actually a really inspired choice. He seems to handle ensembles well and has plenty of experience with the big explosions that come with a film like this.

There are some that seriously have not yet come to grips with how acclaimed a director he has become and still view him as that Hollywood heartthrob guy.

Isn't Affleck 6'4"? He'll be taller than Henry Cavill as Superman if he plays any other character. Best to stick to the directing.

How is it a rush job when it took like 6 months for the script to be written...

Then another like four months for WB to send the script to a single director?

That's like the opposite of rush.

Hey guys, I've been hired by WB for a non-rushed JSA movie!

It'll be in theaters summer of 2046. That's how you KNOW it'll be good.

It's a rush when you're trying to put a team picture together when you clearly are still having issues making solo films that don't involve a certain director with the last name Nolan.

I'm not simply talking about a rushed production. I'm talking about a rushed approach.

That's not rushed when you still plan on making the solo ones afterward. Not rushed, different.

Lol, not copying Marvel beat for beat counts as having a rushed approach?

A movie is a movie. We're the only diluted ****s who draw a distinction. A solo movie is no easier to make than a team film. Scripting, directing, producing a good product is something all unto itself.

i don't see how this is rushed really. i prefer them crafting the universe around the jl film. it doesn't necessarily mean that it'll be the first film up to bat after MoS.

Honestly if they copy Marvel I think that the GP would see WB as hacks. Marvel had to go solo because honestly DC's big three have better brand recognition than Marvels to start off. Thats just my opinion.

maybe he can be luthor. :oldrazz:

I don't think he'll play anyone. At least not one of the costume crowd.

His comments about playing DD were very negative.

People who saw The Hurt Locker. :o

If they copy Edgar Wright's approach for Ant-Man, it won't be rushed at all. :hehe:

It's not rushed. They've been trying to come out with a JLA movie for the last 10 years. The concept was always there. Before Avengers. It's just that the scripts have been poor.

All Avengers has done (as well as Nolan concluding his trilogy) is make them hussle to write a better version for Justice League. They were probably not sure if it could make a lot of money but now they're more confident that it will because of Marvels success.

The writer seems to be taking a different approach which is a good thing, a reaction to the light fun of Avengers, and hopefully they know what not to do now. Yes im looking at you Green Lantern, and YOU Superman Returns. Plus this Biell guy has been working on it for over a year now i think.

I bet they still wont film for another year or year and a half. That's not rushing.
