The fight scenes in that one where too sped up for me. Looked a little....too silly. It should have been slowed down to give the monsters more weight to their movement. Something they did for Godzilla in the first movie I believe.

Wasn't really a fan of Raids Again. Gigantis, The Fire Monster can kiss my ass.

It's possible the flying muto has something inside it that disrupts the avionics of the F-35's that shuts their systems off or that it's massive wing beats created a down draft that sent them hurling to the bay. I did notice that in the trailer if you freeze frame it where that hook leg comes down on top of that building around those soldiers you will notice the rear of it glows red like it has a energy discharge in it. Here is a gif of it. Notice the red energy glow illuminating from it? Or maybe Godzilla just used his atomic breath and zapped him out of the sky and the creature is still absorbed with the energy it was hit with.

If anything, the Flying MUTO will resemble Rodan, but won't actually be Rodan.

Haha I've been saying that for a while. Given how successful they've been at keeping so many elements regarding this movie a secret, I'm almost expecting them to pull the rug from under us.

I think they're being very coy and secretive with some of the "MUTOs" for a reason.

I can see why people think it's Rodan. Shape of the body in the clouds resembles him. For being a flying bug thing, the flying Muto doesn't really look like your regular flying insect.

They're bugs man. This is long confirmed. WB doesn't have the rights to any of the Toho monsters outside of Godzilla itself.

agreed, NextNolan... Godzilla was never supposed to be an "adventure film". Godzilla has always been a horror film.

though i will admit that some of the adventure tones used in the Heisei series was pretty fun, i still want this film to be more horror than adventure. save that for another time
