This is one of my top movies I'm looking forward to and I want the thread title to match my enthusiasm

"Godzilla 2014" just seems so bland

now i'm looking forward to the day where we get some actual released footage what what Godzilla looks like now... because i've seen only a screencapture taken from the far right side (probably gone by now), and the lack of information since SDCC is very sad... even disheartening for us kaiju fans.

Yes, I know that being at Comic Con is something that not everybody gets to do so the attendees are entitled to a treat, but I don't believe the massive amount of Godzilla fans out there should be denied the chance to see this awesome promo and the look of the new Godzilla design.

I sincerely hope that the footage from Comic Con is released in an official manner soon enough. Don't keep us waiting....PLEASE

Supposedly the director (Gareth Edwards) posted somewhere on FB that filming would begin the 2nd qt (April/May) of 2013

This is a crazy idea, but what does everyone think of an alternate scenario for a backstory someone wrote up where instead of Godzilla being created out of nuclear experimentation by the United States. What if the Japanese win World War II begin using their own nuclear experimentation and create the creature through this way. As Japan spreads its oppressive fascist influence around Asia, Godzilla appears on their own shores and wreaks equal havoc in major cities as an ironic symbol for human rights. It would even think a similar story is possible in the United States and the Soviet Union.

What if Godzilla was created by nuclear testing caused by the Soviet Union who instead of trying to destroy him, try to capture him and use him as a weapon during the Cold War? There are many fun stories to spin off from.

Instead of destroying cities he'll ravage peoples wallets by ticketing them to high heck.

Why does it have to be 2014. Why can't they begin filming later in THIS year, so it can be released in 2013. Shouldn't the script have been finished by now?
