I remember awhile ago bringing up Snyder's words regarding his Lex Luthor being a Brad Pitt colliding with a Richard Branson. The one actor, who I automatically thought of when combing the two actors, who I really, really like was Phillip Seymour Hoffman. He fits that description quite nicely and can pull a modern Luthor off. He's got a nice chunk of hair too (Pitt) and the ginger of Branson.
Fans over analyze the
"looks" department for Lex as their depictions have to fall in line PERFECTLY to the comic character. In a modern age, I think the look off Hoffman can pull Snyder's vision off:
I can certainly, without question, see vision in which Snyder described (Brossman/Pitt) and I hope they take this route other than the usual
"Lex needs to be bald, young, fit and as good looking as Superman blabblah" debate. It's what makes the film direction exciting. It's all in how the director sees it rather than the current comic book realm of things when it comes to appearance. IMHO, Hoffman would NAIL IT.
