Agreed 100%, I've said the same thing. Personally, I think Brainiac is long overdue for a film role, and though I do tire of Benedict Cumberbatch being fancasted for every role under the sun, I think he's a great fit for Brainiac

Brainiac's better for JL, plus we've just had an alien invasion movie. Do we need another?

I think having Luthor as the "big bad" opposed by both Batman and Superman broadens the sense of his threat, and moves him beyond his traditional movie role of the petty thief/wacky inventor who gets slapped around by Superman.

Is Luthor a big enough villain to take on both Batman and Superman?

Luthor can work, you can have him use other villains to do the heavy lifting. For instance, he creates Metallo to fight Superman and hires someone like Deathstroke to kill Batman. He's the puppetmaster pulling the strings.

I think Deathstroke being hired by Luthor to take out batman or even bruce wayne would be awesome. It gives the GA a cool villain that they've only seen in video games and cartoons and it could easily fit within a story built for the big screen imo.

I think Deathstroke or Deadshot would come in if maybe Luthor wants to have dealings with Wayne, and finds out that Wayne is pretty much his exact opposite, aka not corrupt, and views him as an obstacle.

I guess it just makes me sad cause I figure there will be another solo Superman movie at some point in the future, but they will sort of have already done Luthor in this film, so the next Superman film will probably be Brainiac or something instead.

I don't know if we'll ever get a Superman movie that's just Supeman vs Lex (and a possible secondary villain) now, and that is my absolute dream.

It's just gonna be weird having Batman there.

Lex isn't entertaining, right. A PROPER Lex would be ridiculously entertaining to see. They could finally play up the genius aspect of him, not just throw the word out randomly.

Anybody who doesn't recognize that Lex is Superman's best villain is fooling themselves.

I'd say Brainiac is his number 2.

Lex is to Joker what Brainiac is to Ra's
