you guys are forgetting that even if he managed to paralyze Zod from the neck down (you guys really are reaching rather far for any possible alternate outcome) he'd still be shooting lasers out of his eyeballs.

My God. It's fiction. This is reality. I'd hope that you and your family would have the sense to try to escape, because let me tell ya, YOU are the only one you can count on to save you. A true hero wouldn't compromise their morals just because it's easy or because they'll be hated if they don't or because they want to sleep peacefully. A true hero does the right thing. And the right thing is to not compromise your morals, because once you do, that only makes it easier to do it again.

And why did you even bring this up? No one was questioning the legitimacy of the act.

If you would bother to look back in the thread, it's obvious why I brought this up. To be honest, I wasn't looking to have a discussion with you, as you seem to be capable of little more than bullying and unwarranted name-calling. Not my kind of conversation, thank you very much. Sorry that you responded and that I had to address you as well. Please continue enlightening the board as to your extensive knowledge of Superman's healing abilities and I humbly request you attempt to keep it civil. Good day, sir.

Sounds great to me. Surely we'll be getting an announcement soon, especially if things are as far along as we've been told.

We will be, since Bryan Cranston is being announced as Lex Luthor when the last episode of Breaking Bad ends :o

I've done neither of those things. And I've never claimed to have any knowledge of anything regarding Superman's healing abilities. I even stated that I don't recall kryptonian healing abilities being shown in MOS. So I'm not sure what you mean. If you're not going to offer a rebuttal to my post and instead attack me for no reason, then I'm not sure why you replied.

On topic though!: I think Michael Fassbender could be a solid Lex. As long as he's not too angst-ridden. Lol. Leonardo DiCaprio would be interesting and kinda fun to see though.

Not alternate outcome. Just a little fun with trying to understand kryptonian physiology. Although that's a funny visiual.

The idea of Idris Elba tickles me. That'd be kind of awesome. Love that guy.

Indris Alba? Is he their love child or something?

Gotta love Cranston. Not what I imagine my perception of the character to be, but I'd be cool with it.

Batman's approach to the law is idiosyncratic, anyway. He is a vigilante who constantly commits trespass, meddles with crime scenes, falsely imprisons whoever he likes, and pummels people he suspects of crimes.

Basically, he's J. Edgar Hoover's FBI in a Batsuit.

He's a bit older than I would like, I'd like Lex and Supes to be contemporaries, but if he does get the gig he'd be great, no doubt about that.

Yeah. At the moment I'm seeing Fassbender for the role.

Or if you want a young Lex, you could go for someone who is not already tied up in a superhero franchise, but still an excellent actor, a natural redhead and who just so happens to currently be bald and have tons of experience playing a character who is outwardly an All-American hero, but far more morally ambiguous at heart:

Damian Lewis!

I've done neither of those things.
You're referring to bullying and name-calling.

"I get that you prefer all the pretty splosions and caveman punches and you probably get all confoosed when someone has a complex motive or an in-depth characterization, or anything that actually makes characters and a story, ya know, compelling and interesting, so I'm just gonna calmly say that your post is wrong."
"You'd be wrong about that. And you know nothing about the character. And he wasn't either of those things, you're just too small minded to see the potential. You'd rather throw something away or ignore something that you don't like, than take it on and accept it as something that can be redefined or built upon to better it. That's the attitude of petulant children."
"15 years + what? 17? 16? makes 32 or 31. That's basic addition man. Go back to elementry school."
I would add your infamous sociopath post, but it seems the mods have rightfully deleted it. If you don't see any of that as bullying and name-calling, that's your opinion. However, it does seem obvious that other people DO see it that way. Again, I'm not attempting to argue or discuss anything with you at all. I'm simply stating, again, why I'm not. You can choose to either learn something from this or not.

tied to a popular tv show is worse than being tied to a franchise

Not really, especially when it is a cable series with only a 12-episode run each year. That leaves tons of time for film projects.

tom hardy can still play lex. although, i think he's got his sights set on bond after craig with nolan.
