BvS Lex Luthor Casting Thread - Part 2

That seems like a potentially very boring Bond movie. Nolan has little sense of fun, struggles with fight scenes, and is very hit and miss with female characters. I suspect the film would be weighed down with leaden exposition, and by monologues reminding the audience what the themes are every eight minutes. Q would probably get 30% of the screen time. There would be no sex.

You're referring to bullying and name-calling.

"I get that you prefer all the pretty splosions and caveman punches and you probably get all confoosed when someone has a complex motive or an in-depth characterization, or anything that actually makes characters and a story, ya know, compelling and interesting, so I'm just gonna calmly say that your post is wrong."
"You'd be wrong about that. And you know nothing about the character. And he wasn't either of those things, you're just too small minded to see the potential. You'd rather throw something away or ignore something that you don't like, than take it on and accept it as something that can be redefined or built upon to better it. That's the attitude of petulant children."
"15 years + what? 17? 16? makes 32 or 31. That's basic addition man. Go back to elementry school."
I would add your infamous sociopath post, but it seems the mods have rightfully deleted it. If you don't see any of that as bullying and name-calling, that's your opinion. However, it does seem obvious that other people DO see it that way. Again, I'm not attempting to argue or discuss anything with you at all. I'm simply stating, again, why I'm not. You can choose to either learn something from this or not.
Those weren't unwarranted, and I apologized for the term I used, as it was too much and inappropriate in the discussion. And the definition of bully is someone who uses intimidation on those who are weaker, which I didn't do. But I still don't see the point in your replies if you don't wish to engage in the discussion. Either reply with something relevant to the discussion or don't reply at all. But please don't waste both of our time by attacking me over nothing and for no reason. And why is your quote messed up?

But back on topic!: LOL! Man, Clive Owen looks so weird in that picture! Denzel... That'd be pretty freaking badass. And Damian Lewis... Solid choice. I like him.

After watching Hannibal I want the actor to play Lex to give a similar performance. Sophisticated and charismatic but you can slightly see the monster behind the eyes but you can't help be charmed by him until it's too late.
I don't want the loud moustache twirling Lex from Superman Returns.

Leonardo Dicaprio, Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Jon Hamm.

Clive Owen for Lex Luthor!

Yay! Someone shares my opinion!

Though that's a horrible picture lol.

And tbh, I've gone off him since seeing MOS.

Clive Owen would have been great as Lex if the film had come out the way I'd hoped, but not as it is.

They may as well come up with a more 'fun' option now.

There weren't many Clive Owen pictures where he was bald. What do you mean by "fun"? You know Snyder/Goyer envisioned a Lex who's just as A-list as Kevin Costner and Russell Crowe yeah?

And yet, it's gonna get an 8.5 and above on IMDB. You know it will :whatever:

Nolan is a Bond fan, so I believe that he would keep many of the staples of the franchise. I'm still pushing for Michael C. Hall to play Lex.

So far no but I have a gut feeling (and I am sure I am 200% wrong) that another major role will be cast this week.

I would find it hilarious if Cranston gets announced as Luthor, considering how far CBN's false report went.

The breaking bad finale was tonight and the report claimed It would be after that he would be announced.

We'll see.

Even though El Mayimbe who came out with the rumour about Cranston called the guy at CBN a load of ********.

It would be good timing if they did indeed hire Cranston, given how huge Breaking Bad is at the moment. Utilizing that popularity would be smart.

But as much as I would love Cranston to be Luthor, I don't buy that article for a second.

The 8-picture deal was for Batfleck according to them.. Cranston's was 13 movies.

Which is completely plausible :o

Yup.

And considering El Mayimbe's history of being correct with this film (he reported that WB had offered Affleck the role way before anyone else, and he reported that Detroit would be a location), I'd believe Mayimbe on this.

I find it odd.

People don't generally tend to believe El Mayimbe. Yet he's almost right nearly all the time. Not always, but most of the time.

CBN, who made up the ****tiest stories and excuses about Tyler Hoechlin possibly being Batman, exploit a rumour from El, and suddenly everybody believes it.
Someone saw a tweet from FilmNerdJamie, suggesting Dalton as Alfred to someone in the film industry (?) And surprise, surprise. ..CBN came with a story about Snyder wanting Dalton in the role. Dalton even responded!
Cranston has had to respond to the Lex rumours.!

All through CBN.

El has been hinting Cranston is up for the Gordon role, not Lex as he first heard.
He removed the tweets, but we did see it.

Cranston likes the character of Lex. But he's debunked the rumours, simply stating because he's bald in BB? :funny:
Could be a smokescreen, of course. But he's supposedly taking a break from acting.

Filming a small cameo as Gordon as opposed to a massive role as Lex might be more up his street for the time being.

Didn't Cranston voice Gordon in Year One?

Since breaking bad ended last night I half expected cranston to announce he's playing luthor in the after show. He wasnt even there.
