If we get Phoenix and the script is polished, I think I will finally get that intense Lex Luthor I've been waiting for my whole life on film.

I got the Superman I've always wanted.

This would be the best ever.

If so… Maybe he will come back as Lex for the next solo Supes film too. aka MOS2

paul rudd seems to be confirmed as antman. phoenix would be an interesting lex, but he's played that role already so i'm leaning toward tom hanks getting it.

They might with him though. If they were able to secure him I can't really see him committing to more than one film. That's my guess, but you are right this is a business. If he says no to more than one then they may pass because that won't work. We'll see, but I hope they take him for one film and then remind him of all the money RDJ made....

Commodus isn't really a Lex type role. Commodus was a spoiled dictator with delusions of grandeur and daddy issues.

Lex is a genius power broker, who plays the long strategy game without showing his cards and very rarely loses his cool.

It's kind of weird that folks are really on board with JP as Lex. I don't think I've read one comment of dissension, which is great. I too can get on board with it. JP has this quality that no matter what role he's playing you just feel like there's more going on with him...good or bad. It's always something more, so I look forward to seeing that if he WB is able to secure him.

I'm surprised this news leaked, which tells me they are really trying. Feb. is around the corner really, so this seems somewhat deliberate. I wouldn't be surprised if he said yes, but I'd be curious to see how many films he said yes for. I also won't be surprised if he said no though.
