I don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but Joaquin Phoenix and Casey Affleck are best friends. And Casey even had a child with Joaquin's sister. So I can totally see this happening.

I hope to god this ends up happening. Literally perfect casting, I never thought he'd be in a comic book film, and this is so exciting to know that this is actually possible
