I didnt say we would not see a bit Hackman's Lex, but I said we would see more serious Lex. There is big difference.

"Tell me everything", "Gods are selfish...", "Now Fly", "Cute Kid", "Wait for it", "Imagine cities...", "See anything familiar...", "This is where he learn who he was..." and "I have advanced technology". They all sounds very seriosly and they also are proof of that Lex sounds more serious than campy.

Hackman's Lex was campy... did you ever see, or with the characterization of the Hackman Lex, picture him...STABBING Superman in the BACK with kryptonite, and then say in a sick and twisted tone "Now fly."

Of course, which isn't neccessarily a bad thing. As long as there is a balance. I don't mind being entertained with some comedic lines from Lex, or comedic situations...as long as he is still at heart a dark and sinister and threatning villain. Every line people have claimed to be campy, looks as if it fits the situation, and as a shock...they are all actually funny. Some, he isn't even being flamboyant and they work. I.E. "Wait for it..." (love that one)
