I was worried looking at the concept art but after seeing the Lizard in motion with detailed cgi and practical effect I have to admit it just works.

At no point did I say, "that doesn't look like the lizard". It felt right.

Not only did they screw up Spider-Man's look, but they managed to screw one of the coolest villains he has too. He looks like some generic villain made for some short-running kids' show. Lizard is not what I think of when I see it.

HOWEVER, I do think the thing with his right hand having four fingers is a nice touch.

He looks very similar to his original comic book look, and I really like what I'm seeing so far.

I picked perfect. Though, I don't think it's perfect. It's pretty damn good though.

I'm now fine that he doesn't have the labcoat. Buff Lizard looks good without it. The skinny ass Lizard that we've been seeing looked dumb without it though.

I'm pretty neutral on the whole labcoat thing. With or without, I'd like the design all the same.

There are things i like and things i don't like i love the size of him he looks massive i mean that's the size Venom should have been in SM3 And i loved the shot on top of Oscorp building hiz size looks great and his claws look so badass i mean i can't wait to see these two go at it... The only thing that i don't like is probably what most don't like is that he has no long Snout and also like CashforStash pointed out he is a slightly smaller version of Abomination without a Tail. But overall i am happy with it and i think it's okay.

For all intensive purposes, The Lizard is perfect. He looks just liked the classic Ditko Lizard, just more muscular and massive.

And for those complaining about the lab coat, the megablocks toys confirmes that he will have the labcoat at some point in the movie just like it revealed the Oscorp rooftop battle.

what im hoping that will happen is that at first when he transforms he becomes the more Ditko Lizard we have seen, but during the course of the movie he becomes more primal and less humanistic.

Still not sold on the blunt snout and total lack of clothes, though.

What it will all come down to is how the movie Lizard moves and behaves onscreen.

My opinion : too early to tell either way. Still cautiously optimistic.

It's weird, the Lizard pool toy has 5 fingers on his left (like mentioned above) and 4 on his right.

I really do think the look theyre giving him is closer to the original concept of the character created in the first ten issues of Amazing Spiderman comics. His snout was very short and stubby not longer and alligator like, like the more modern versions.

I noticed that, actually just finished writing up a post about all the things we now know about the Lizard from the footage, and that was one of them

He's pretty cool looking. I'm not too crazy about the short snout, or lack there of. I'm sure I'll warm up to it.

Their idea of using Ifans' features to inform the Lizard is sound, but it makes him look a little too soft to me. He's tearing up cars and flipping trucks, yet when we see his face, there's not much menace in it. Which might be what they're going for? I'm not sure.
