What kind of question is this?? Leave class early! This is Logan we're talking about!

He has the entire weekend for the movie. Just finish your class . I just think its a hassle trying to cut your class then also hurrying up for a film showing.

I guess I need to say something positive. Despite my disappointment with the film, if other people (GA, fans of Hugh Jackman and his Wolverine, and just fans of the CB character) enjoy it enough, if the movie makes enough money and helps Dafne Keen with her career, I'll be really happy.

you didn't like it, boose?

ah man, sorry to hear that dude. Look forward to hearing your thoughts after I see it.

Bummed to hear that you didn't enjoy it. I know you were looking forward to it. I look forward to hearing your thoughts after I'm done too.

I just hope it has a good Flowgan. Nothing I hate more than a movie that goes too Slowgan. When this was first announced I was worried it would be forgettable and that it would Blowgan. But now I Knowgan. Here we Gogan.

LOGAN.

I'll be happy if Logan is a slow burn with good character moments.

Half of these comicbook movies have like exposition in every other scene and don't slow down.

Anyway, not much longer now. Only a couple hours.

sorry, I tend to rhyme when I get too excited.
I feel like I have to warn you that the movie is never in a rush to get anywhere though. It doesn't require Cure for Wellness level patience, but the movie trusts its audience to be along for the ride. I never felt it was too slow or boring, but the movie actually shines in the slow moments.

I think it's perfectly paced. It's slow burn when it needs to be, to delve into the character, and picks up pace whenever the time is right. It's a tense sci-fi thriller, with plenty of drama and character exploration.

Tickets bought for tomorrow. So hyped.

8/10 for me.

One of the best I've seen this year after Get Out.

Saw it yesterday and I've been reflecting on it for some time since then.

It's really grown in my estimation throughout the day. This is easily a 9.5/10 for me (I didn't care for [blackout]X-24[/blackout]). Otherwise, it is more than just gritty and violent, or a western... it is a complete and moving story that is beautifully acted and with an ending that left me floored.

It also works on several levels, not just as an action movie and a drama, but also as a story about getting older and dying, about living with violence (which plays into its western influences), as well as one that deals with themes of persecution and alienation that are downright revelatory. I've never seen the X-Men used as an allegory for the plight of undocumented immigrants but it works wonders here.

This. is a great movie. In fact, it very well may be the second best superhero movie ever made, right after The Dark Knight.

Just wow.

Speaking of layers, one thing I read an interviewer point out that I very much liked...

Logan's last words, "so this is what it feels like." Obviously on your first experience of it you assume he's talking about death, and I think that's probably a valid interpretation, but this interviewer also put forward that Logan was referring to finally feeling like he was part of a family, harkening back to Charles' request in the home to take a moment and 'really feel this." I thought that was a poignant and heartbreaking take on his final words.

Just got out. Wow, what a film. I need to see it again and still processing it but my gut tells me this is a strong, adamantium 9/10.

However, I will say this movie could've EASILY been a 10 if not for [BLACKOUT]X24.[/BLACKOUT] Im not going to lie, guys, [BLACKOUT]when evil Jackman [/BLACKOUT]appeared onscreen, my heart sank and not in a good way. I was like "Oh God, no. Please, PLEASE tell me that this movie which has been so fantastic up until this point, is not going down this silly path." I really did not like that element brought into the film and was scared that it was all downhill from there. Like THE WOLVERINE.

THANKFULLY, the rest of the film proved me wrong and held it together very strongly with a strong, visceral emotional climax and perfect ending.

Well done, Fox. Well done, Mangold. And farewell Hugh Jackman.

About to go in. Is there a post credits scene? Feel free to spoil tag the yes/no.

Thoughts on Mangold's comments?

So I just saw the first half of the movie.... and was LOVING it. Then the sound/voice track stopped working and couldn't be fixed. So now I have to wait till tomorrow night to finish it. So freaking annoying!

My thoughts are in the spoiler review thread. I perhaps sound a bit harsh and frustrated at this point, because the film itself isn't bad... But a game-changer? Transcending the genre? I think it can be considered to be the best of all Logan films, technically, but it doesn't make it a great film.

I'm with you part way dude. But I do think it's a pretty great film. Certainly the best film with Hugh Jackman's Wolverine. Top couple of everything Fox has ever done of Marvel.

It's certainly a big win. Not perfect though.

[BLACKOUT]I never even thought of the death thing. But the family part was obvious. I mean "You should take a moment. Feel it" sets it up in a big way. I like that it works both ways, though.[/BLACKOUT]
