Another behind the scenes feature w/Dafne and her claws.
What movie did you watch? Because it's absolutely NOT clear that it's suppose to be the new timeline. Not only do they mention multiple things from the original timeline, and nothing from the new timeline, but this movie takes place just 5 years after DOFP. No way they've aged that much in 5 years.
Recently, IGN had a chance to speak with Hutch Parker about his work on Logan, and the producer took time to address X-23’s future. When Parker was asked whether the mutant could show up in an upcoming movie like The New Mutants, the producer said he didn’t believe that was going to be the case.
“I don't know definitively, but in terms of the stuff we've been talking about, it's not sort of slipping her into the background of another movie. It's looking at that character, which is a great character and has a pretty interesting run within the comics, to find a story that we think she could carry or certainly be kind of majorly significant within,” Parker said.
“That's the only kind of thing that Jim as a storyteller, a filmmaker...that's the way his sort of process works. And the way his mind works in terms of what he would aspire to. Which isn’t to say that the studio couldn’t have a conversation about something else, but the one that we've been kind of discussing loosely and kicking around is more likely to be its own film.”
The Statue of Liberty thing is actually genius. Logan thinks it's a reference to X1, but it's not.
For some reason it only dawned on me now that the casino scene is essentially do-over of Charles' death in X3, only this time Logan actually gets to save Charles. And I also never catched the 'they are waiting for you at the statue of liberty' = 'liberty motel' thing either. This movie truly is the gift that keeps on giving.
Seeing that there are still folks who haven't watched the movie yet (do it, it's fantastic!), I'll put this in a spoiler tag just in case.

It was in some of the concept art for the film. Don't think it ever made it past those stages either, the art was mainly there to be evocative and show off the lo-fi world of 2029.I don't know what the source is but I keep seeing on my twitter dash that Logan was supposed to have a dog (maybe it's from Mangold's commentary I haven't listened to yet). I gotta say with how dark the movie was the dog would probably die and I would be shattered but I wonder who the dog was supposed to be substitute of

It doesn't feel cheap at all - big props to Mangold, Mathieson etc. for making a film with lighting that could translate over somewhat with the Noir cut. I personally think the hotel seizure sequence, a tremendously innovative and engaging setpiece in the theatrical cut, becomes even more tremendous in monochrome. The noir version of this movie is a work of art. It's gorgeous.
