Odd choice of category.
Odd choice of category.
Not really. Even if we ignore OML, Wolverine is still not an original character. Therefore, the movie is an adaptation.
Somewhat bummed Patrick, Hugh, or Dafne didn't get nominated, but this is still nice!
Agreed.

There are only two categories. Original and Adapted.Eh... Still seems odd to me. Also, while I am happy that there was something in the film recognized by the Oscars to a degree I think the three leads deserved some Academy love, or at least one of them should have gotten serious consideration in an acting category.
Nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay at the Oscars! Never happened for a CBM before, not even TDK. Fantastic.

Funny how the Wolverine franchise went from having arguably the worst film out of all the X films to this.

The idea of making a movie that would ****ing embarrass me, thats part of the anesthetizing of this country or the world. Thats further confirming what they already know and tying in with other ****ing products and selling them the next movie while youre making this movie, and kind of all that **** that I find really ****ing embarrassing. Like, that audiences are actually asking for scenes in end credits when those scenes were first developed for movies that suck, so they put something extra at the end to pick up the scores when the movie couldnt end right on its own ****ing feet.
Now weve actually gotten audiences addicted to a ****ing bonus in the credits. Its ****ing embarrassing. It means you couldnt land your ****ing movie is what it means. Even if you got 100,000 Twitter addicts who are gambling on what ****ing scene is going to happen after the ****ing credits its still cheating. Its just cheating, but theres all sorts of bad habits like that that ****ing horrify me, man, that have become de rigueur in the way we make movies and I think the fear of being one of them that did that end then everyones patting me on the back and I feel like **** inside because I know I cheated, is probably the greatest thing that scares the **** out of me.
