and now they announced GoT filming in March of 2017 so season 8 wont be out until late 17... approx. 9 years before Winds of Winters release date.

Earth isnt a transformer. Unicron is inside the earth. Think of it like a chicken inside of an egg. In The Last Knight film he is beginning to emerge. Metal spike structures are pushing there way out of the ground all over the world. You can see these metal structures stivking out of the ground in the trailers. One of the Prime's tells Optimus that it is Unicron.

The film sets him up as the big bad in the next film.
