I remember the episode with Paris Hilton. Then I had to remember that when it first aired, she was a thing that was happening.

I remember wanting to see House of Wax when it was new, and that she's in that movie.
Now I'm guessing it's another one of those badly made horror movies packed with dumb characters.

The Netflix shows need a bit of a shakeup. Iron Fist and Luke Cage should be merged into one show,

The current spectacularly annoying ***** boy claiming to be Iron Fist should be killed off. (Netflix or marvel should remove the current writers and showrunners of Iron Fist.) A new Iron Fist should reveal him or herself. Then the new Iron Fist and Colleen and Luke Cage can join together in their own much improved show.

Martin Scorsese will be producing a solo Joker movie that takes place in a separate continuity from the DCEU. Now that WB will be doing Elseworld movies, I will finally get that Earth 10 Superman.:o

I've lost all interest in the Marvel Netflix shows. I enjoyed DD and Jessica Jones, even Luke Cage to some degree, but I'm burned out on it. The Defenders can kiss my ass.

The Joker Origin Story Film On Deck: Todd Phillips, Scott Silver, Martin Scorsese Aboard WB/DC Film

Warner Bros and DC are in the early stages of another Batman Universe spinoff movie, this one telling the origin story of the signature villain The Joker. The studio has set The Hangover‘s Todd Phillips to co-write a script with 8 Mile scribe Scott Silver. Phillips will direct the movie, and Martin Scorsese will produce it with Phillips. This will be the first film under a new banner that has yet to be named in which WB can expand the canon of DC properties and create unique storylines with different actors playing the iconic characters.

I’m told that the intention is to make an origin story that isn’t part of any other iteration. The Joker has memorably been part of two Batman movies in the form of Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger, and was most recently played by Jared Leto in the first Suicide Squad film. He will reprise in the Suicide Squad sequel and the Harley Quinn spinoff, but this new film will launch the character with a different actor, possibly younger.

A Martin Scorsese produced Joker film. :hmr:

Another interesting part of it.
An intriguing part is the setting. The intention is to make a gritty and grounded hard-boiled crime film set in early-’80s Gotham City that isn’t meant to feel like a DC movie as much as one of Scorsese’s films from that era, like Taxi Driver, Raging Bull or The King Of Comedy.

They did get a new showrunner, not sure about the writers and pretty sure Finn will stay on as IF for the foreseeable future. I really should fire up this new tv and catch up on it all but eh.

I like the Netflix version of Iron Fist, he's not as appealing as the comic version is, but I like it.

Well then fire the new showrunner.:funny:

If WB is really going down this Elseworlds road, let's get that Dark Knight Returns adaptation with Keaton. Or Batman Beyond with Keaton. Or an original story with Keaton. Just bring Keaton back.

Now we can have the whole DCU multiverse as one big pack of movies. I would like to see (As impossible as it would be) to have Keaton, Bale and Affleck all in one movie.

The Joker movie reminds of Logan in that WB plans to do a comic book movie that isn't like a superhero movie. Logan was a futuristic western movie with comic book characters and Joker will be a 1980's urban crime film with comic book characters.

You forgot Kilmer and Clooney.:o

I'm not racist but there really isn't any problem that can't be solved by frying a steak in butter.

And to Kev's point, I wonder how far down the movie-verses go before they collab on the inevitable MCU vs DCCU film?

We pretty much got TDKReturns with The Dark Knight Rises and BvS. I doubt WB or a director would want to rehash that story or its elements in a third film. Not yet. We dont need to see an older Bruce getting his ass kicked and broken and him "rising" and besting his foe again this soon.

Plus, I doubt WB will want to do an "elseworld" Batman while the DCEU Batman is ongoing. Same for the rest of the Justice League members. A Scorsese produced hardboiled crime film that deals with the Joker before he became the Joker isnt going to step on the toes of Leto's Joker hamming it up in cameos in the DCEU. But having two unrelated blockbuster live action Batman films coming from WB at the same time could be a mess for WB and general audiences.

When WB makes Crisis on Infinite Earths, Clooney will be the fist to die. The Anti-monitor will rip his nipples off.

I don't care about any of that. The "logic" or "rational thought" behind it is secondary to my wants and desires. Me, mine. I want it. Burn the forest down so that I may dwell in the ashes.
