Speaking of Keaton's Batman, I got a real Batman Returns vibe from the [BLACKOUT]Daredevil and Elektra fight[/BLACKOUT] in the last episode of Defenders.

Just how the episode went and the way they interacted reminded me heavily of the movie's ending with Batman and Catwoman.

I'm honestly finding it a little weird that people are saying WB has abandoned the DCEU and they're now going back to just stand alone movies. The article clearly says that the DCEU movies are still happening and the Elseworlds movies won't effect the main continuity of the DCEU.

Anachronisms has been part of Gotham's style. Characters drive around in cars from the 1980's, cops use typewriters, people use CRT TVs instead of modern flat screens, the guns and clothing styles are fairly modern. With the Joker movie being set in the 1980's, they could easily pass it off as a Gotham feature film and have Cameron Monaghan in the main role.
