Yeah, but this is speculation. She mentions working with SLJ, so I'm guessing that's someone she filmed a lot with.

And if she is being set up to be a major character down the road, you'd expect her to bat for team good guys.

Yeah, maybe she's Fury's "inside man" at SHIELD once he's on the run, someone at a desk at HQ able to feed him updates and/or warnings. Who knows.

Speaking of which, one of the set reports indicates that the SHIELD Strike Force tasked with bringing down Cap & co. includes two women as well as Crossbones and others. Might she be one of those women?

Ooh I like that idea--putting her on the opposing side from Cap initially but then once things are resolved they end up both on the good side, free to turn any previous tensions into sweet, sweet chemistry. =P

I was actually thinking that she'd still be secretly working with Fury, but yours is pretty good.

I wondered that, too, but the set descriptions don't match. They say that the two women are (1) a Caucasian with long black hair, and (2) a black woman. Most likely just random henchies.

Have to think the Caucasian woman is probably Maria Hill since there was a chair with her name on it that was spotted on-set IIRC during the days they were filming those scenes.

She does but that hasn't stopped Marvel from changing hairstyles for the MCU. In TA, Maria Hill looks to have short hair but it's actually just pulled up into a bun-type hairdo. Have to have longer hair to do that.

Wasn't there an earlier picture of Smulders in costume on set where she had the same hair, though?

Could be she let it down, though. Could be Sharon with wig. Could be that MCU Sharon is a brunette. Could be some random henchgirl.

They could have but it can look a bit bulky and somewhat unconvincing. Most people as they age get a gaunter look that can't be done with overlaid make-up or prosthetics. Think of what they did with Red Skull to get a leaner look once his Schmidt mask came off and you'll get what they're likely going to do with Peggy.

Well, I was reading some articles that women far outlive men these days. I think there's still one woman still kicking it who was born in the 1800s, in fact.

Peggy would be in her 90's... maybe pushing 100. It's not out of the realm of possibility when we still have WWII vets alive and well today.

In November 2012, the Department of Veterans Affairs estimated that approximately 1,462,809 American veterans from this war were still living.

So definitely within the realm of possibility.

Yeah. I think the oldest woman was born somewhere around 1898... but that's in dispute b/c of the accuracy of her birth records.

Anyway, Peggy's nowhere near that old, and she's in company w/ about a million other surviving WWII vets, so I don't see what's wrong with her living.

Also, she's a magnificently cool character, who I love and adore. So I'm excited about seeing her again.
