I think he's being sarcastic. Some politicians and pundits have been saying that Hollywood chose the villain Bane as a way to influence voters by making them think of Mitt Romney's former employer, Bain Capital, as evil.

Same. I have a friend who I was close with in High School. We graduated, her parents (who were extremely successful doctors) sent her to ASU, paying for tuition and all her expenses, including a hefty allowance for entertainment. I graduated and went straight to work for Wal-Mart. She know has a degree and is far too good to ever spend time with the lowly likes of Matt Mortem.
