It looks amazing.

I hope it does well. The test screening(s) had mostly positive reactions but I also think the negative comments about the film is just the nature of Mad Max. The series have a lot of dialog. and people forget how weird the series is.

Is that what the negative comments consisted of mostly? You're right, there's minimal dialog in these films. I wonder if the attendees were aware of this beforehand.

I think the negatives (none were specific) were due to a different style of fimmaking. As mainstream as George Miller is, he's an oddball. It probably doesn't feel like your typical tentpole.

WB needs to step back and accept. the test screening will not work with this movie. they need to realese it like Miller filmed it.

Gravity was a risky movie and it made a lot of money because Cuaron is a good director and he knew what he was doing. he planned for years.

Miller is also a good director and he spend years planning this chase movie. little dialoge and a strange concept is scaring WB and thats why the realese date is so late. i think they were trying to ''fix'' this movie by having reshoots. they need to have faith in Miller and realese his original cut. it will work. i have faith.

I liked Mel Gibson as Mad Max but I never felt like this was a role only 'Gibson' could play. I think it is down to the fact Max doesn't talk much and he is like a traditional anti-hero roaming character from a old Western.

Well that's like saying anybody can play Snake Plissken since he's also "a traditional anti-hero roaming character from a old Western" who hardly spoke, but I can't imagine anyone else as Plissken but Kurt Russell. I'm not doubting Hardy can pull it off but it would've been amazing seeing Gibson return as Max.

And the new pics look good. It gave me a Mad Max vibe more than that EW cover did, imo.

By picking Hardy they made a smart choice. He's incredibly likeable so I think it'll go over well.

What's interesting, and genius on Miller's part for casting, is that Hardy was cast when all he really had to his credit and getting acclaim for was Bronson.

Loving the photos and about damn time. Warner Bros. showed the teaser last week in Barcelona during CineEurope that went down well so hopefully it should be here soon. Comic Con is coming up...
