interesting trailer. the villain was the most intriguing part. would have been epic with a mel gibson in his prime. this screams weird and campy in parts. could see this being a hit

Mad Max has always been weird and campy.

the guy with the fire spewing guitar is just awesome....

The drummers and guitarists make me ask, does Immortan Joe have like his own accompanying soundtrack that tags along with him? Because if so, that's kind of being an awesome supervillain.

this movie looks so entertaining that i dont even have a problem being a hypocrit. the movie looks more racist than Exodus. :oldrazz:
like there ....is not a single human of color in the trailer 1 and 2. at least i didnt see

So a movie is racist because they don't write any roles for non whites.

You are out of touch.

True, but remember the wisdom of I'M GONNA GET YOU SUCKA. ;)

who cares about story with this kind of precise practical action scenes. Miller is back. :hmr:

There's Zoe Kravitz.

Also the main issue with Exodus is that you have whites playing Egyptians and Jews. Also you have minorities playing the slaves in the background. Contextually apples and oranges.

So you're not a hypocrite; you just dont know what you're talking about.

If the movie is lacking substance, I will be very disappointed, but I will point it out. I have been jazzed for plenty of movies that let me down. I was crushingly disappointed by Big Hero 6 not all that long ago. Trailers can be deceiving, but thes are not run of the mill trailers. They have their own identity unlike most which just copy Nolan's trailers over and over again. These seem crafted with the intent and tone that one would think is coming from the film itself.

And by good, I mean film as the amazing art form it can be. The blending of sound and imagery to give the world something to awe at. Transformers and TMNT films still aren't good. :cwink:

If movies were truly judged as art there would be less rules in the critical conversation imo. Sadly a movie that's about explosions and fighting will have some critic talking about lack of story every now and then. And I'm not talking about TF or TMNT though everyone else seems too.

I'm talking about films that are about a good time or a ride or an experience with jokes and fun and pretty images as the main feature. Surely you can think of a few of those that have gotten the short end.

Anyways, I think it's pretty bloody clear that George Miller is the only one that can save the Terminator Franchise save for Cameron himself.
I'm dead serious and right about this.

Actually I kinda like TMNT despite the Rapey Mikey. At least there's an attempt at giving the Turtles character, though Raph was kinda annoying because the writers forgot that he can be sarcastic and witty too, not just angry.

Unlike Transformers. Part 4 kinda improved, but still, the bots are still being seen as CGI props by Bay, and these movies don't have to be 2 and half hours long.

Mikey's goofy moments were the only thing I liked about the movie. "Mikey sleepy" and the bit was the buttons on the Shellraiser were the parts that made me smile. The rest was so bad, it is hard to describe. Well, at least the television show is awesome.

There are no rules. Though I always find this argument beyond bad. Films are storytelling devices, and thus about telling stories. There are no rules to judge any film. I don't have fun with movies that are sloppy and boring. And I find them boring when they have nothing to tell other then explosions.

We do not live in a world where Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Avengers, The Dark Knight, The Winter Soldier, Scott Pilgrim, Judgement Day, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, The Fellowship of the Ring, Jaws, Fast Five, John Wick, Guardians of the Galaxy, The Road Warrior, and other such films don't exist. Once the world was shown you can have both, what is the point?

Anyways, I think it's pretty bloody clear that George Miller is the only one that can save the Terminator Franchise save for Cameron himself.

There are plenty of directors. Though George Miller would be awesome.

Welp... I was thinking of seeing FURY ROAD the day it drops early in the morning when I got out of work at like 11am. Now, I'm gonna HAVE to.
