Max has never really been the focus of his own films so I don't see an issue with it happening again.

My oh My, the reviews are currently very, very favorable here in the UK. Excellent!

Max has never had the dialogue but Gibson had the machismo/cool/star power part down

Is this movie filmed in 3D or is it better in 2D?

An interesting thing to note throughout the Mad Max series is the gradual desertification of the landscape. It starts of very much in a country town type of setting in film one then gradually the scenery gets more and more barren as the series progresses. The costumes also get wilder and wilder. Film 4 seems to continue that trend.

This film is more over the top than the previous three combined. It's like Miller said **** it and skipped a few intermediate films.

From an MRA said:
The truth is I’m angry about the extents Hollywood and the director of Fury Road went to trick me and other men into seeing this movie. Everything VISUALLY looks amazing. It looks like that action guy flick we’ve desperately been waiting for where it is one man with principles, standing against many with none.
Delusional. First of all, Hollywood has been churning out these lone hero types of movies for decades.

Secondly, Mad Max isnt exactly the kind of guy youd say has much principles outisde of do almost anything short of psychotically evil to survive the apocalypse.

Thirdly, I laugh at his pain.

So that MRA is angry about Theron having a bigger role than he expected? I don't get these people.

"OMG, a woman is portrayed as being awesome and competent. It's a downfall of Western civilization as we know it." Ironically, morons like this do more to hurt the image of men than the film does. People who are TRULY secure in their "masculinity" should/would have ZERO problems with a character like Furiosa.

Furiosa looks like an exciting character, this is exciting, f them all.

I can't remember but did Toecutter die in the first Mad Max? I'm wondering because Hugh Keays-Byrne is back playing the villain for Fury Road.

Yes but this is a different character. Miller also did it with Bruce Spence on part 2 & 3. Even though the characters were way more similar that Toecutter and this new villain.

Max is the classic drifter. The Man with No Name, who enters the lives of others at an important moment. and changes it. Because of that, you get less of his personal story, as it is already set out. You learn about the new people, the ones he is interacting with.

Funny, what turns them away is exactly what got my interest back. :funny:

I bet the Daily Mirror guy is happy.

Oh yeah? I bet he's not as good as my favorite internet critic....me. :ninja:

So this one is set between Mad Max and Thunderdome right? Or is there even a timeline?
