Thats about how long I think it would take to build up the legion with the solo movies.t:
Perfectly coordinated then!

Its the best way to get back on track.Yeah Ive said for a while that the next one needs to feel like a natural progression. Building the villains up for a team up feels like a no brainer IMO.

Im thinking the next time we see Superman, if not in Shazam, will be in JL2.
Which is what I assume the Legion of Doom stuff is leading up to.
I guess well know if The LOD & JL2 are still in the plans when Aquaman comes out.![]()
Its the best way to get back on track.
They can focus on the solo films and slowly build toward JL2 with simple after credits scenes.
Keep them as the one thing connecting the movies for awhile.
Develop the heroes and villains together and bring them all back for JL2![]()
Its just fun to think about. The Legion of Doom stuff was the plan before the JL movie came out, though. Before the box-office disappointment of JL and before Walter Hamada's takeover and a change in plans by him- to focus more on solos. That Lex/Deathstroke scene was added quite late in the game (as Eisenberg has said.) But I think a lot changed since then, after JL's release.
A JL2 that soon is too idealistic, I feel. Studios try to move away from something reminding them of a recent failure (such as putting off another GL movie). I just don't think we will be getting a JL2 anytime soon, or even another teamup movie after what happened with JL.

We have Lex and Deathstroke
Aquaman will give us Black Manta
WW2 will give us Cheetah
The Flash will give us....reverse flash? Captain cold?
GLC COULD give us sinestro

Yes exactly this.
I think it's just about restoring faith and as I've said before garnering interest from the audiences for the villains teaming up. I don't think it's in the agenda right now but I feel it could naturally progress to the JL vs LOD film as the film's keep going and if they're successes.
For me I think they'd probably treat it like a whole new thing. It wouldn't be called Justice League 2, maybe they'd simply call it JL, JL Rebirth, Justice League Rebirth, JLA etc. So many options.
Those individual films especially stuff like Flash and GL have huge hurdles to overcome for themselves before thinking of using their villains for a villains team-up. They have to be their own universes first before trying to cross over each other again. Something like GLC is a massive undertaking and their villains like Sinestro need to worry about being villains in the GL world maybe in a series of GL films before joining a "Legion of Doom". I just don't think WB should make the same mistake again and try to do another team up too quickly instead of focusing on using those characters for their solo movies. Sinestro is not a one-off in the GL movie, but a whole series of GLC films can be built around battling him.

If they are still planning on a LOD film, I think that would improve the odds of us getting a MOS2 soon.
They might want to introduce another Superman villain who could join the LOD.
I think if they have a rough plan for 2023-ish (I mean come on, Hamada's team must be thinking about how to build towards an Avenger-que movie sometime down the line), they'd just focus on solo films for the next 13-15 films from 2018-2022, and when they're happy with the results and there's a demand for it, they could set the LOD in 2023 but start building those little bonus scenes in 2022, no point building it up NOW since it's so far away, but I think if they can get the project going then 3-4 bonus scenes a year beforehand should be quite a cool build up.
Deathstroke, Lex, Black Manta, Cheeta, Black Adam etc
2023 just seems rather soon. We might only get a Green Lantern Corps movie after 2020 and then Sinestro would need to be used for a GL sequel/series after that if it's successful. So that's another 5 years or more after that. Guess they could leave him out of the LOD. It just seems like a lot to ask, to get the solos right and then have them plan for a LOD on top of that.
I just don't want plans for a teamup affecting individual film/storylines. We can say it'll only be a hint/suggestion/after-credits scene but then those scenes start promising stuff and get people's hopes up. Just like that Deathstroke scene did in the JL movie. When really I prefer to see Deathstroke in the Batman movies. And why can't Black Manta continue on in Aquaman sequels? Or Cheetah's story can be resolved or continue in the WW movies? A Legion of Doom movie sounds nice in theory but these villains would mainly be battling their particular hero/arch rival in the movie anyway, which they can do in the solo movies. But with more time and character development.

Yep, I think there's as much chance of a second JL movie being called JL 2 as there is for a second Supes solo being called MoS 2!![]()

Youre making it much more complicated than it needs to be2023 just seems rather soon. Too much Legion of Doom talk in the Man of Steel 2 thread for my taste, but enough for me to want to reiterate how much I don't want a LOD movie anytime soon, perhaps never, and how much I hope never to see boring villains like Metallo and Parasite in a Superman movie. They're fine characters, but I think they work better on one-off television episodes or mini-arcs. I just really hate any Superman villain whose primary effect is to drain his powers.

And you're simplifying it so that it will be just another JL movie.
All I'm saying is let the solos play with these characters. I can't believe you think it's so simple that they can just use these characters for another teamup right away after what happened with JL that you want to do it all again.

People should be worrying about an MOS2 first before wanting to use Superman movies to create villains for a LOD movie. I mean, we don't even have solid plans for a Superman movie and people are already making plans for his villains!
