Well there has been 4 reboots correct ?
Incredible Hulk Domestic: $134,806,913
Man of Steel Domestic: $263,691,000
Batman Begins Domestic:$206,852,432
Amazing Spiderman Domestic:$262,030,663

I think that covers all the superhero reboots.

All of them earned sequels except for TIH. We'll see how the new Fantastic Four does in 2015.

Looking at adjusted for inflation. STM would have made 455 domestic.

I think that'll do well. Not extraordinary business or anything but I think it'll probably be a hit.

I'm sure the budget will be moderate (150-170 m) so they'll probably need around 400-450 m WW for a sequel.

Less than Thor but better than Cap.

It will have to be pretty good to get those numbers. People still remember the lame first two.

Looking at Superman III box office. It's opening weekend was just a million less than Superman II. It even managed to stay in the top 3 for it's first 4 weeks. But the film didn't have legs. Didn't seem to be able to stay in theaters that long.

At the end of last weekend, MOS sold 31 mill tickets. This week it passed Batman Begins-32 mill ticked sold. Amazing Spider-Man-33 mill tickets sold. Next up: X-Men 2 and 3 at 35 mill tickets sold each.

Where is MOS looking at finishing at with tickets sold?

On topic, am glad Mos is making the money so we could get more superman films, hopefully a justice league film and a rebooted GREEN LANTERN FILM WITH JOHN STEWART.
See i am staying on topic.

Hey guys, get back on track please and discuss the MOS Box Office....

Thank you

Seriously? Was it not big enough?

Both Skyfall and The Hobbit sold a little over 37 mill tickets. They both made a little over 300 mill domestic. Don't think Skyfall was in 3D.

No more warnings on the thread, get back on topic or infractions will begin.

Geez people....

what's with all this green candle crap ?

anyway, just got back from my 3rd screening .. my 1st two screenings were in smaller theaters with crappy sound .. this time i went to a large screen theater with banging, bone-jarring surround sound .. man, what a difference that makes !!

the 3D popped nicely too .. this was hands down & by far the best time i've had seeing this movie .. totally immersed to the extent that the flaws i saw during my other two screenings all but disappeared .. I R satisfied

oh yeah, so i did my part for the box office (keepin' on topic)

My theater already has it down to 4 showings per day, how about others? Have they drastically decreased the showings at your theater?

Ok. In 40 scant minutes I will add some more for the B.O. So that is 10 times FTW! Btw it is half sold already. Today could be a $5 million + day!

My theater has 4 showings also.

Showings at my theatre are down. My theatre has huge screens for new releases and smaller screens for films that are a few weeks old. Lone Ranger has taken over the huge screens and the timeslots.

Also, thanks so much Kelly for getting things back on track.

LOL....well you have definitely added to the BO. I'm sure there are many of you around here.

My theater has 9 showings for DM2. But only 4 for Lone Ranger.

Today, my theater currently has 7 showings. 6 2D and 1 3D.

At the theater closest to me with the 4 showings they are all 3D. I had to go a little further down the road to the IMAX to see it only in 2D. Not a big fan of 3D. I think there are still quite a few showings at the larger theater with the IMAX, but only 1 2D IMAX showing a day now.

There's no more MOS 3D showings in my theater.
