No. Honest evaluation.
Just read a late review from the Boone Times - Soaring To Medocrity" was the lead. The reviewer wasn't impressed. This is pretty much the typical review and no way IMO these negative takes on the film will not impact WB.

Plus, within a month or two Marvel had announced sequels to Ironman and Thor and Avengers. Cap too I think.
WB is not doing that.
I feel they were shaken by the reviews. it clearly hurt the BO.
One could argue that, as SR would have been a drag on an SR2, MOS will be a drag on an MOS2.
The good news is that it seemingly will not be rushed. 2016 at the earliest.
I think WB is going to demand changes. Heck there is talk of doing a prequel instead of a sequel?!
I am still not convinced the full team will return if they do a sequel.
The film editing team must go IMO. I'd drop Goyer too.
The Tomb Raider syndrome could be in play for MOS2 unless WB delivers a close to great CBM movie next time. The suits at WB know this - I am sure they all read Forbes which has been critical of the film and warned about pitfalls waiting a sequel.
WB SURELY wants a film that can reach the big LEAGUES - 800 MILLION PLUS OR MORE. with business as usual on an MOS 2 I don't think that is possible.
Hats off to BOM - they predicted 290 domestic and 360 OS. Very close on domestic and 10 or 20 million high on OS but BOM came closer than all the rest.
