Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool. He is the Robert Downey Jr. of Iron Man. Perfect casting. It had everyone floored.
Yeah and look how that turned out. Please, Reynolds isn't anywhere near the league of Downey so you can stop right there.
Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, and Danny Huston are all excellent actors as well.
So? Just goes to show they need to pick their projects more carefully but all in all, seems to me like they got involved just to pick up a pay check and have their names attached to a comic book movie just for the sake of it as EVERYONE else seems to be doing it

While Martin and Sally are great veteran actors, Rhys Ifans...really? And are you going to compare Andrew Garfield to Hugh Jackman?
Um Ifans is a very good actor, have you even seen his work? Besides harry potter? As for Garfield, yes, I would compare him to Jackman, easily. Just because Jackman may have more experience by no means makes him a better actor. I think you need to actually watch the movies these actors have been in before you start questioning their talents.
Both movies had a pretty solid cast and Wolverine was terrible. Just because a movie has a solid cast doesn't mean it is destined for greatness.
Never said otherwise.
Now if Marc Webb had already proved himself and this was the second Spidey movie then I would be floored with some of you but I have gotten my hopes up one too many times to be let down. Just don't set the bar too high as there is more room to go under it than over it.
That means nothing. How many great directors out there have delivered in the past and completely made a hash of things on their recent project(s) many. It can go both ways. However, I'm more inclined to believe that this movie will deliver and upon its release, we're all going to look back on this and wonder why the hell wolverine was even mentioned in the same sentence with what will be a vastly superior spider-man film.
You know them so well and you can see the future. A double threat I dare say.
