Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 Appreciation Thread

This is the thread for the best fighting game of all time.
I just got back into this game with a couple of my friends and it is uber fun.
This game is awesome.

Anyone else love this game?

To anyone who played, what was your team?

My team was interchangable with:

- Iron Man.
- Cable.
- Captain Commando.
- Wolverine.
- Stryder.
- Gambit.

Cable did rock. He was the best new character in that game and I loved using him. Along with Spider-Man and Ryu, those 3 were my favorite team.

This game was also best on Dremcast. The controller was perfect for that game, the graphics were great and it was near arcade perfect. I remmeber not liking it when I first played hte PS2 version. The controller just didnt compare the the DC one. The DC's directional pad was better suited as were the shoulder buttons. The 2 versions just arent the same and I still dont like hte PS2 one but will start up the DC one every now and then

They needed to have better Capcom characters...like no Sagat? no Vega? But instead we get Servbot and all those other losers? screw that. At least the Marvel side was great.

Those were my favorite teams,the game was good.But the backgrounds wernt that good,i personally liked the 2D style backgrounds.

Wow.
The vid had some nice FFVIII music on it.

I still think that Hulk sucks.
Call it what you want or that I don't know how to use him, but Juggy is better and has a better support attack.

That vid was MVC Hulk. I am talking about MVC2 Hulk.
They aren't exactly the same, right?

I liked how this game and SNK vs. Capcom 2 had music that absolutely had no bearing on what was going on during the game. Smooth jazz...lol.

I will forever despise Superman Returns for making everyone and their mother think it's funny to say WRONG like the loser Spacey Lex Luthor.

It was lame and unfunny in the movie, and it's lame and unfunny in real life.

This is a beautiful game.

This team is pretty hard to beat. Brawl with Wolverine up close while Cable & Cyclops continually alternate from distance.

My favorite brawlers are definitely Wolverine and Captain Commando.
Cap Commando has one of the best combos in the whole game.

Jill Valentine is such a good supporting character, and is fast as hell.
She's not weak either, and also summons the demon out of the ground.
