Marvel vs Capcom 2 on XBLA and PSN

Well, the 360 at least has an outright music player that normally runs over just the music of the games, and not the Sound effects. But I'm guessing by pointing out to custom soundtrack they mean a specific system where you change the games normal BGM's with those ripped into the Hard Drive. From there on out, I don't actually know. I hope it is specific for stage/moment, since I'm a big custom music freak.

and here's your list, taken from a forum about the matter.

Changing the soundtrack to MvC2?!?! BLASPHEMY!! I'M GONNA TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE, DAMMIT, AND YOU'RE GONNA LIKE IT!!! :cmad:

Unlike most people, I actually liked the soundtrack to MvC2. I think Ill leave it as is bc its a classic and so tied to the game

Is there an actual release date on this yet? I looked but I could only find vague "summer 2009" listings.

June 29th is the speculation at this point. Marvel posted that date for their upcoming media releases

Balls, that's a long time. I went to buy it on Live the other day for some Tron Bonne action (since I learned who she actually is after MvC2's arcade days) and I was like "wtf?"

Oh, yeah, everyone is wanting a piece of Miss Tron.:o There was a demo released for PSN, but it was only two player local multiplayer. June 29th is only a little over a month, so it's not too bad

Damn, why does Sony get all the good stuff lately? I wanted to try Flower when I heard about that too, but of course, PSN-only. :o

But Corp, we got Castle Crashers and the upcoming Turtles in Time remake.

To be honest, I can wait, I don't need a demo. Out of the two big guns downloadable marketplaces, I think XBLA has the best catalogue of the two, so as much as I want to play Flower, there is more than enough to make up for not having it.

In fact today I get Space Invaders Extreme.

Lol, yeah, it's even on the first page :) To be fair, we can no official confirmation that it's XBLA-only, yet. Though the only source so far as said it is, Konami hasn't released a statement on it.

Well, Sony has a recent policy now Corp that they co-fund and co-publish indie games in the PSN, that's where stuff like Flower is coming from. Possibly even that Explodemon! game, though that's coming out on the Wii and PC, too

I'm glad unique indie games like that are getting made, at least. Steam seems to be pushing a lot of indie games now, too.
There is a thread for it here.

edit: here you go... http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=323734
AAAAH! You've made my decade, sir! I was playing the original arcade game on XBLA a while ago and I kept thinking, "This is cool, but Turtles in Time would've been so much better." :D :D :D

So when it comes out soon, you up for a run through coop style?

Speaking of which, we need to play the Arcade game soon.

That's good, because stuff like that needs to be made. May not be for everyone, but it keeps the creative side of the industry beating

This is the only problem I have with MS policy, which shuts out many indie devs, other than their new crappy everyone can make a crappy game section of the game store. So much junk goes through the actual good games get burried.

Nintendo and Sony have done wonders with the Indie devs this generation, which has allowed some fantastic and unique games to go through PSN and WiiWare.

With Sony you have Flower and Everyday Shooter.

With Nintendo you have World of Goo (One of the best games you ever played) and Bit.Trip:Beat.

Plus Sony and Nintendo don't force you to sign over rights to it in order to get the game on their service, which MS has a habit of doing. Either way, I still love XBLA.

Oh yeah, we do. I never see you on, though. I'll probably finish up Assassin's Creed tonight and we can play sometime in the evening, like after 7:00, if you want.

And I'll definitely play Turtles in Time co-op.

June 29th is not so bad, and that means I'll have to buy some more MS pts. so I'll have enough for MvC2. This game plus Transformers 2 will be things I'm looking forward to for late June.

Come to think of it, you're never on when I am either. I usually play later in the evening after my wife and kids are in bed. Sometimes it's very difficult to play when everyone's up and about.

I'll try to get on earlier tonight and look for you.

Hey Corpulent, what's your gamertag? I'll see if I can add you to my list.

Yeah, I agree, I like XBLA as well. I've bought several games from there, but this was just a brilliant policy on the part of Sony. I think this is really going to help them solidify their PSN line-up, as well as put in good with indie developers. Pretty incredible seeing them make a policy that doesn't shot themselves in the foot. Seems like ages since we've seen something other than that.

It's over a month away, but I already put the funds in my PStore wallet for the game. I'm ready:o

Teardrop, you need to get a gold account....I wanna play against you. :(

Oh, I can go on later. I don't know how long AC will actually take. I think I'm close to the end, but for all I know, there's still bunches of stuff left. I've remained relatively spoiler-free on it, thankfully. :)

My gamertag is Don Corpulente.

Yea, I usually jump on around ten or so, but it varies depending on the night.
