Where did those leaked pics of Dr. Strange, Virgil, Rocket Raccoon and the other reveals come from? My brother refuses to believe they're real since Mega Man isn't included.

Tell your brother that one day, he will have to learn something that I had to learn a long time ago: Capcom doesn't give a sh** about their fans. I'm somewhat amazed that Stryder and Phoenix Wright made it into the game at all.

The talking duck is also a social satire character, a womanizer a detective. He knows kung fu, he uses gun, he swears, he curses, a short trip to Wikipedia will teach you this. Educate yourself before you talk **** about something you really know nothing about.

For those of you saying this should be DLC. Each character would cost 5 bucks, there's 12 new characters. Add in stages & new modes, that'd cost someone well over 70 bucks if they bought all over the DLC. A disc version was the way to go here.

This is what I've been saying. $60 for 12 characters or $40 for 12 characters plus extra content. Which sounds like the better deal?

any chance they might be saving any secret unlockable characters like HsienKo and Sentinel from the first game? I really hope there's at least 2 that wont be leaked/revealed till closer to game release

I would have rather Capcom wait until the game was finished before they released it instead of selling a glorified beta for full price and then the "finished" version a few months later at a slightly reduced price. And this won't be the final version of MVC3, either, so the way I see it it makes sense to just save my money and see whether or not Capcom finds a way to screw up the next version. Hopefully the third edition will at least have Mega Man X, though.

Taskmaster has what 1 or 2 moves based on a bow? Hawkeye's entirely based around the bow.

Taskmaster has three angle options for his arrows, and it can be done in the air for three more. Same goes for his Hyper. Sword Master, in comparison, has the three strength variants, plus an unblockable follow-up for each if the opponent blocks. His assists all involve Aim Master. The arrows are all great zoning tools, he gets good damage off air throws with his off-the-ground Hyper, and even on block Legion Arrows does great chip damage.

It's fair to say arrows are a big part of his appeal, even including the counters and sword skills.

But even as someone said in the beginning it's just like the X-23/Wolverine thing. They have so many different things going on from one another, yet people just see the bows and go ''OMG THEY ARE THE SAME. THE SAMEEEE!"

Cool roster, but overall I'm disappointed. Megaman X, Gene, Doc Ock, Gambit and Venom would have been nice. Especially X and Ock.

Loving Vergil, Ghost Rider, Frank, and Nemesis! Hawkeye is obviously a Marvel decision that was pushed.

The moment when Gambit and Venom have no business being in this game because they are so irrelevant. Sentinel is lucky he has his MVC2 legacy or he wouldn't be in here.

I can guarantee if a Venom got in it would be Flash Thompson then you guys would be upset about that.

I'm sure Capcom would have wanted both Gambit and Venom but Marvel said no.Marvel sees this game as gaining exposure for their characters and unfortunately Gambit hasn't been important in years.

Well, obviously it seems Capcom is a bunch of sourpusses (much like FOX with Bryan Singer back when). Because Keiji Inafune basically said screw you Capcom and left, Megaman (Keiji's baby) has been getting ____ed over left and right. Megaman Universe and Megaman Legends 3 were canceled for no real reason...now Megaman is "mysteriously" missing from this scam of a game

what happened to those supposed "leaked hints" that suggested Ms. Marvel, Gambit, and even Jubilee would be in......

I have nothing against the new roster, and I think it's great that there are gamers excited to play as those characters.

However, I really hope there will be additional DLC in the future. None of the characters I've been waiting for since day 1 have made it in. As it stands now, I have 0 interest in this Ultimate edition, and in fact, I've decided it's time to sell/trade in my copy of MvC 3.

I will wait for the Super Ultimate Arcade Edition, or whatever, to see if additional characters will be added.

If you honestly think because Megaman Universe and Legends 3 (which I lement the lose of dearly being a huge Legends fan), and Megaman not being in this means that Megaman as a character is gone forever, you have to be kidding me. He'll be back. If they really wanted to erase Megaman. They'd be taking Tron and Zero out of this version of the game.

Nah, course not. They'll likely just put out a new Megaman series or something that won't do as well as the classics, like they've been doing for the most part.

This. Lupinko's annoyingly cryptic hints were still obvious when he alluded to Gambit especially. But did he ever know about Jill and Shuma back when since they were DLC? I don't recall.

Exactly. Infact, id argue that without howard the duck (and fritz the cat for that matter) we'd have no duck man, ren and stimpy, south park, simpsons, family guy, rocko the walaby, conker the squirel or any other slightly raunchy cartoon characters that
Have an extremely huge fan base to them.

Project pat is a lost cause though. He's clearly a "video game drone" where if its not dark and gritty, doesn't have blood or gore, doesn't have women with big **** he probably isn't going to touch it. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the majority of games he plays is first person shooters or overly masculated 3rd person games ala rockstar, assassins creed, prototype, and god of war. Everything else he bashes for the most part.

I just think people should stop bashing a game because 1 character didn't get in that they wanted... we all have our favorites, and obviously everyone can't get in.. in a perfect world there'd be 100 players, but even then there'd still be complainers.

however, a mature person wouldn't bash a character when they know nothing about said character, nor immediately label it stupid. Equally as so, a mature person wouldn't label other fan favorites "stupid" just because they don't find them relevant.

Rocket the Raccoon has just as much right to be in these games as any other player... im all for new additions, because guess what? we can always still go back and play Marvel Vs Capcom 2 if we want to fight as people not included in this game.. hell.. venom has been in what? 2 or 3 fighters now?

is it sad that a hugely popular character like Megaman didn't make the cut? sure. Its sad when any group of fans feel screwed out. But everyone has a fan base so don't bash other peoples idols in your own frustration and disappointment.

Yea its kind of ridiculous to bash a game just because one of their characters didn't make...they can't please everyone.....Like Wright being in is a big to me but he obviously got fans....the fact that Strange,GR,Nova and Rocket Racoon are in are in are ****ING AWESOME1 !

I'm glad they didn't overstuff characters from MVC2.... Ryu,Akuma,Chun Li,Shuma,Jill,Dr Doom,Cap,Spidey,Iron Man,Hulk,Tron,Mags,Sentinel....that's enough lol

The problem is that Capcom is obviously holding characters back because they are planning a third release of MVC3 beyond UMVC3. There is no way that they would have left out any iteration of Mega Man in this version even though Mega Man X was the most requested character, unless their plan the whole time has been to make at least 3 releases of MVC3. I am not a sucker, and I can see right through what Capcom is doing. They think that just because they got away with making me buy a glorified alpha, that they can get away with making me buy a glorified beta too. I'm not falling for it. Even if they never come out with a third edition of MVC3 that has Mega Man X and the other characters that I wanted to see, I am not going to buy UMVC3.

Im a FRIGGIN HUGE spidey fan... yeah id be upset if he wasn't in the game, but to be honest... i very very very rarely ever play as him
